My favorite pro mod is the CCS 2014 Mod. I love the color way, the paint, the durability, and of course @Grandpa Sandz. What's your favorite pro mod?
Pretty hard to choose. I honestly like the color ways on CCS 2014 pro mod and TJ's KUSA pro mod tamas, definitely 2 of my top favorite tamas overall. I'm not too big on (at least) the KUSA pro mod kens, just because it's too personalized for each pro. Obviously that's the point but it makes me feel like playing someone else's setup, not my own.
@teejkolesnik Teej's pro mod is the best, mainly bc I believe the glossy, sticky paint is better than silk and is on an ash ken. Make Waves my dudes
My top three: 3. @Christian Fraser - Sweets Kendamas - 2016 Full maple 2. Ijima Hiroki - Krom Kendama - 2017 Full ash 1. @Heshisfresh - Terra Kendama - 2016 Ash / padauk
KUSA: V4 Wiens mod. I really dug the whole space theme Jake has going on with his pro mod. I actually copped his the first day they released, like during class haha Sweets: 2017 Willy P mod. Something about the bright tama colors against the white bottom looks super sick to me. The maroon colors are also a dope addition. Krom: Iji's just because the tama is white and there's a red spot on the top like the Japanese flag. I think that's super dope. GT: well there's only 1 pro model lol. Stodd shape is a bit better for slings (one of my favorite tricks) and stalls, so that's always awesome. Stodd tamas are also the bees knees. Raw ash is the way to go Terra: Eric Martin's. The double stripes going down the middle are dope EDIT: GT: now that there are 3 GT pro models (shout out the homies), I think my favorite at the moment would be Kristian's. I haven't played Ben's extensively so I can't say for sure, but I do like the way Kristian's feels and plays. The fact that it slaps lunars and still can dub sling consistently is a major plus. And I can pair it up with a slaydawg tama, so now its extra honed
KUSA Alex Smith V4 and KROM Ijima Hiroki 2017. Had no opportunity to try out any other pro mods, but these two are sick. I'd recommend them to anyone.
@Willy P promod is the only pro I have used. Like all the sweets 2017 mods the cushion clear, large bevel, and all maple setup is tons and tons of fun!!
I liked the Sweets 2013 pro mods. Something about the pro clear and the regular string hole made me dig it a lot.
The Alex Smith is also another one of my favorites. It was super light but was such a good dama. The wood for the tama eventually broke in and got super soft making it honed for stalls.
The Jake Wiens pro model was my first ever pro model and it was so good to me. It's pretty beat up now and I haven't touched it in a long time. I think my favorite right now is the Matt Sweets pro model.
KUSA: V4 Turner Thorne because it's my first "real" dama purchase. Not a pro mod but the Slay mod is too fire as well. Sweets: Pretty difficult to choose which one in terms of the 2017 pro mods, they're all fire. I'll go with either Coop mod or WillyP mod. Krom: Bonz because Bonz. Also reminds me of the OG Yellow Ozora which I think inspired his mod. Maybe not haha.
I'd have to go with the one I own! The Norx 2017 Pro Mod - Amazing in playability & with a really pretty color way too. In terms of aesthetics, I do love the Dave Mateo pro mod - the colors and design and mixed sarado/sword is so, so pretty. But I also really dislike that the paint near the tama hole is gloss, while the rest is silk - probably should've been flipped the other way around.
2017 @Christian Fraser Sweets Pro Model. Prior to that was the @Max "Norx" Norcross 2014 Sweets Pro Model.
