Hi guys, So I just got my GT 1.5 in the mail today, and the sarado is stuck on the ken. It literally feels like the sarado is super glued to the ken. I have tried twisting and pulling super hard and the sarado doesn't even budge. Is there anyway I can get it off? It came unstrung so this is the only way I can string it. Also, does the 1.5 come with a wormhole? Mine does not have one. Thanks!
I had the same problem with mine, but I managed to get the sarado off the ken. It just takes a little work and patience, you got this
Back when i received a kendama from @Grandpa Sandz, the cups were super glued to the spike! I found that the best way to do it is to increase the surface area your hands can hold on to. Use a small towel for the cups and spike (base cup are is best), and start twisting the sarado back and forth, slowly. Increase the strength steadily, and you should have it out safely!
DONT pull/twist hard. You can splinter the ken apart. When it's stuck like that, you need to shock it apart (ie, a quick smack at the right angle). A decent way is to hold the sarado, and smack the spike down into something hard (good idea: put something over/around the spike to protect it from getting blunted from smacking it into the ground lol). Of course: do this at your own risk! Don't bust your new dama Also: Try putting it in the freezer, the wood will contract and it may be easier to get apart.
You can put two chairs close together so the ken hangs in between the two seats (spike up) but the Sarado hits the seats. Lift the ken from the slip stop and slam downward so the sarado hits the seats and the ken slips through. Basically what Alex said without destroying your spike. Your cups would take the beating, so don't do this with a spectraply
Yea I like this solution too. As long as you hit both cups simultaneously it'll work well. If one hits before the other I think it'll redirect some of the force of impact and not work as well.
im having the same problem! how long did you leave it in the freezer for?i have tried everything and it doesnt move one bit.
I've tried cold then hot to break them loose as well. After leaving in the freezer over night pull it out and try to break it free quickly. Then if that doesn't work take a hair dryer and heat the "saddle" between the cups and see if that doesn't help. Sometimes it takes several hot/cold iterations.
I have noooo idea how my sarado got so tight and ended up getting stuck . Please help. If you got any tips or tricks or whatever, please leave them down below. That's be great. Thanks.
