Most players have that thing they do with their unoccupied hand or mouth while they are playing. What do you guys have? Do you stick your tongue out, or keep your mouth open, or maybe you do the "Dinosaur arm" as some call it.
I definitely do the dinosaur arm sometimes, but my worst habit is opening my mouth while jamming, especially harder tricks. I look like I'm catching flies. -_-
I try to limit any Raptor Arm and Gape Mouth. The thing I've noticed lately in my clips is during play I frown in intense concentration. Now I'm focusing on a concentration smile to replace that.
definitely guilty of having my mouth open when playing. sometimes my jaw goes slightly to the side as well thus making my face the most unflattering lace face ever lololol -__-'
Keep those left arms in check! Haha Definite pet peeve of mine: when someone's left hand is constantly 'ready to chatch' the kendama if you miss the trick. It just looks like you're about to miss, the entire time.
I have been sticking my tongue out more and more as I progress into the harder tricks. I don't do the dinosaur arm though so that is good. Something I really like to do while plying is listen to music. It helps to find the rythm so much better and keeps me from getting frustrated if I can't hit a trick.
If you watch my edit 2 on YouTube, you will notice the absolutely insane things my tongue is doing when I'm fully focused on a trick. It's absolutely wild.
Dinosaur arm here. Looks silly but I don't really care I guess, not detrimental in any other way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Im a stay-at-home Father and take care of my little one all day. So when I get the kendama out to practice a bit in between catching, feeding, and cleaning her I narrate everything she is doing in Spanish. It's pretty entertaining. Slow progress on my behalf, but I bet she'll hit her first spike before she's two! (She's four days away from 11 months, now)
I keep it 100. I usually stand pretty boxy when playing but strive for the maximum dama stee like @Kristian Aynedter. Can't touch that dudes swagger.
Yeah I've seen a lot of people have that and Matt DeCoteau(what ever happened to him) has a pretty crazy claw too
