I just spent over 1 hour on a kenflip downspike line that involved me missing the last spike multiple times. Is this dedication or is it too much?
Dedication, Hands down. It's that kind of persistence that will get you far not only in Dama but in life!
I'd say dedication. Up to you to decide whether it's too much. Only you know your body haha. If you're hurting in a way that's different from just being sore, I'd recommend more breaks
I usually practice for about 1-1.5 hours every night after school at home while jamming to music! I'd say decication and having fun!
mix it up and dont get burnt, sometimes taking a break and coming back, you may see yourself being able to land tricks
It's great practice! Keep up the dedication and take advantage of the time given to you. In due time, the muscle memory kicks in.
Yeah man I have for sure spent many hours on tricks like juggles for instance I spent like an hour every day on it for about a week but then came back to it a couple weeks later and got it pretty quick, it just seems like to me that if i practice a trick long enough to get the fundamentals down, even if I do get burnt out and stop trying it for a week or two i can usually get it down. That being said yes I know how it feels to spend long hours, but in the end its so satisfying!!! Love everything about Kendama and since i never really have time to skateboard anymore like i used to its nice to have something to fill in and you can pretty much do anywhere when you get a spare couple of minutes.
Dedication. Super dope that you spend so much time on lacing a trick. The more time you spend on lacing a trick the more hyped and stoked you get ones you get it. At least that's how it is for me.
Dedication, just practice and do your best until you lace, this is Kendama. Last week end, it took me 3 hours to lace a trick, true happiness and satisfaction when you lace !!
