Here are the ID measurements of the cups for comparison: OG small - 37mm big - 41mm base - 32mm NG small - 40mm big - 43mm base - 35mm Catchy Street small - 39mm big - 41mm base - 40mm Ozora small - 35mm big - 39mm base - 33mm
Are the edges sharp on the next gen? On my og the edges on the cups and the handstall are super sharp. Does anyone feel the same?
I don't have an OG handy but the cup edges of my spectraply are grabbier than the Tribute next to it. I don't know if I'd call them sharp exactly however. The slipstop and base edges feel about normal.
Yea I just recently tried my friend's next gen. I think that the edges are just super defined on the ken. Its kinda hard to describe but I guess defined is the closest word.
This is interesting to see laid out. I love my OG HG's, but with both the small and big cup 2mm larger than Ozora on the OG, why go 1mm less than Ozora on the basecup? Is that accurate? My HG seems to be about even with Ozora on base cup. Even still, why not keep the 2mm increase consistent across the board?
It's as accurate as I can manage and it's only one sample. I tried to get the inside diameter of the cup, excluding the rim, so with a pair of digital calipers the best I could do was line up the edges of the "big" side of the tool since the small side usually used for ID measure wouldn't catch on the rim easily. I can have another look again when I'm back in Tokyo if you like. I could probably get a better measurement if I made a "stamp" of the cups on to paper then measured that but I'm not sure yet how I'd do that without using ink.
I understand. Maybe something like playdoh will work if you have access to that. I don't think your measurements were far off, but I still wonder why Sweets didn't use the +2mm across the board.
I wouldn't think the extra 2mm in diameter would add that much additional weight to the basecup. You may be right though, as the NG is 2mm greater than Ozora, but much more than 2mm greater in both the sarado cups.
I was thinking talc on black paper but it's going to be a while before I get back to Tokyo so I'll cogitate on it until then.
I believe it is. I dont have an NEXT to compare to my prime but I will soon. I ordered the mystery homegrown tama, should be today
