Oh by the way, Matt just sent out an EPIC email with all kinds of stuff he's releasing with Everyman and AO2 in general. If you're not on his mailing list you're totally missing out.
I have a set of thumb Chuck's and I like the weight but not the size. They are so big and it is hard to transfer grips. Lastly the lights. It looks awesome in the dark but bad in the day. This is just my opinion though, it really depends on your play style.
does anybody have kokonutz my monkeyfinger, i really want some but i dont know if they are good or not.
Most of the ones I see here are hard ended (metal, dice, etc). Do you guys also play the Monkey Fist ones? I made a set but the steel ball I put in the center was a little big I think. What diameter are the ones you have?
I'd like to play some monkey fist ones at some point. I looked up a tutorial on how to make them but gave up too early when I tried to make them. I was planning to put 3/8" steel balls (slingshot ammo) in mine. I need to just man up and figure it out.
I made a couple of monkey fists with 4mm paracord. Found that 4mm is a bit thick, which makes it hard to do slips. They were fun to make regardless though
Ah, the set I made are nearly 2.5cm(1") finished. The bearing I used was fairly large and I didn't pull the core strands out of the paracord. Here's a pretty good page for tying Monkey Fists complete with animated "how to." Did you take out the core threads? On other Monkey Fist projects I've removed the paracord core and it really cuts down on the size.
Yes, I've played some monkey fists. I actually made two pairs and gave them away. Works best with marbles. It seems like you've already found tutorial so I encourage all to make them. They're super fun and noiseless, which can be a plus.
Thanks for the suggestion, tried it today. Took me a while to adjust the monkey fist to look neat, but as you said it cut down the size nicely (making it easier to play).
Hey all you folks on Down Spike, I have an idea for a belgeri design and i'm wondering if anyone has any kind of shop that can make metal objects?
I just recently discovered begleri, and I don't wanna buy a set and I'm no good at not tying so monkey fist will not work. Could I just take some paracord and add some small nuts/bolts to them and call it good?
