I need someone who is willing to help me learn multiple juggles. Ive watched almost every video i can and its just not happening. Can someone please help a poor boy out in need? Hahaha
I wanna follow this thread too! I'm just starting to learn my multiple juggles too and UGH it's the most frustrating and tough trick ever. I did recently land a double to big cup but I missed the spike. #typical I think I probably have to practice my single juggles more and get those perfectly consistent. I get the sense that that makes a huge difference.
I need to start grinding multiple juggles too. I think that if I can figure it out, I might be able to help folks learn. But I'm in the same position, struggling with them and not really able to get past 1 juggle without a lot of difficulty. I find it surprising at the lack of really solid info and tutorials on this, as prolific as they have become in advanced "new school" play. Honestly, @Nel.slay has some of the best tips assembled so far here on downspike. I think there is room for more help though.
Agreed. I just wish some videos would go so in depth on a trick is like they're explaining rocket science.
Would it be helpful if I made a go pro tutorial video? I could explain things with a visual which might be of use.
Also, it would really help if someone could help me with the editing of my video. Please message me if you can do this!!!
Juggles in general I am just not good at. Whenever I try to do them, my hand gets caught up in the string, I hit the ball to quickly, etc. I feel that I don't hold the ball long enough and I just hit it, and my ken flips seem fast. I just can't get them fluid. Any tips on making it smoother?
If you can already manage to do double juggle, the only tip really for "flowiness" is practice. The bet thing to do in the case that the string is catching often is to catch and throw the ken at a lower point. There are things to help with not slapping the ball, it's just kinda hard to explain in a message.
using an extra long string definitely helps when you are learning. Also - you should be able to juggle two oranges or lemons in one hand like 10x / 20x ... pretty easily (they arent connected by a string) and that will really help you get the feel down. the only other tip I can think to unlock them is try to keep the ball and the ken 'close' and not like super-boosty... the juggles should happen nice and tidy / in tight near your midsection or else yeah, you'll get string yanked. but go in on the oranges / lemons and see if you can pass 10
And after you practice with the oranges or lemons (and practice making them 'close' like Colin said) so when you get to the stringless tama and Ken you can really get the feel of it because if you practice too high and too far apart when you get to the string it isn't gonna work so practice close.
One thing I try to focus on is having 2 definitive "lanes." Example being having the tama stay to the right, and the ken to the left the entire time. This helps curb both string tangling and ken/tama whacking.
I have a theory on how to best approach learning all these juggle tricks, specifically multiple juggles and juggle to spike. I'm going to work on it and try it and see if it works. If it does I'll share my journey. If not, well, I'll try something else haha.
