Title pretty much says it all. Been playing for 1 1/2 year and I found out about Kendama when I was watching Kuma film's video featuring Takeshi Kodama and Hiroki Iijima ( ). Thought these guys were crazy skilled and soon I decided to cop one of my own
I think there's a similar thread to this already, but I found out about it through my brother, and this August will mark my 4th year of playing kendama.
[Moderator Hat Engaged] Yep, good catch. The new thread and the older have been merged now. For those just joining check back on some of the older posts for a good read.
Coming up to four years now! Been a heckuva great time at that, super thankful for the awesome vibes within the community.
2 years, but first year I was just doing it because it was popular. It left my area and I was the only person who kept on playing the kendama and then it got serious. Started as just a toy, then a way of life, winning beginner and intermediate ladders all over California, now im going for Open next event!!! Pretty much 1 year of nothing, then 1 year of TONS of seshing
Really been playing seriously for about a year, before then I was just playing around every once In a while
Have had one for 4 yrs,but have only played for around two. Definitely going to continue from here on it though!
6 years! I got my first kendama (blue TK-16) at christmas time in 2011, haven't put it down, and somehow it multiplied
Kendamas have this weird special power. Money slowly dissapeared from your bank account, and the kendama slowly multiplies. Not sure if the 2 are related.
I've been playing since 2012. I've taken it semi-serious since 2015. Just don't have that much time to jam lately.
@Vuong Thai, @Andy Dama has a good memory. Merged your thread with the older one so everyone may see the previous answers.
