Where in Oregon are you? I've been to Eugene, Portland, and Ashland. Great coffee available in those cities.

I remember getting coffee at Ninkasi Brewery. If I'm not mistaken, they use Stumptown coffee. I can't recall the local shop names, but we were by the skate park under the bridge. Washington or Jefferson?

I was hoping to read a post from someone who enjoys coffee, but isn't a coffee connoisseur. I guess I'll be the first! Haha!

I'm not a coffee snob. Not too picky with coffee. I enjoy it when I have it, but it's very occasional when I do. No fancy coffee roasters, grinders, French presses, Espresso machines, coffee shops, etc. I don't need coffee to get through the day, and I can go for months without coffee. Have I tried artisanal, high-quality, authentic coffee? Yes, many times! It's delicious, premium, and very comforting. But I prefer what my parents introduced me too. It warms my heart even more.

My parents are old-school Filipinos, and they grew up drinking Folgers. It's a cultural thing for my family members; they drink coffee to help them sleep (much like warm milk or hot cocoa--and despite the caffeine, coffee really does knock them out, so strange) and they offer it to guests when they visit our home.

They always drink it black, sometimes with a bit of cream and sugar. Very quick and simple. Very cheap. Not sophisticated. No effort. That's what my parents raised my siblings and I to drink as well. Recently got them a Keurig, and they're extremely happy; that makes me happy too.

Yes!!!! 7:15am and 3:15pm for my mom. So when I'm visiting, I make sure I boil some water for her and I. That instant stuff is magic. A quick cup to continue a very busy day full of chores and errands. She recently eyed my electric water boiler. Next time I head to her place, I'll have a gift for her.

Have you tried Full City Coffee Roasters? They look like they mean business. Roasting and brewing coffee since 1979 ;)

Your laboratory is outstanding! I just got back from a trip to Portland and the hotel was using Vittoria. It was okay, just an Oro blend.

I'm in! @amagad (Southern California) roasts his own and does exemplary work. @azleonhart in Malaysia I know wants in too! @Reily in Eugene, Oregon is looking to dive into the world of coffee too. This is definitely a possibility!
