These two for sure. GT-1 Gin n Tonic ken x Sweets aTack Purple Rain tama. NKR 2016 ken/KUSA Promod Dream Dama sarado x Tribute Glacier White Super Stick tama. Both are lunar beasts.
A bit yeah, the OG super stick paint really does its work on this setup. I wish it had better tracking but it's been my go to when I decide to jam
I recently put a early unreleased krom maple party pele tama (with a black scope) and a hick stodd ken and it slays. I had mixed feelings about the stodd shape but now I really like it.
I enjoy the whole sweets prime set up. If not that i prefer my analog ken with a teal stripe kenco tama.
This dama is the king of any stall trick! Ken: kendamanorway maple (super underrated company) Tama: krom rubber stripe Recommend you guys to build this if you can!
Kaizen 2.0 maple X fruit punch maple stripe with cusion clear HG fruit punch X 2.0 split silk paint The birch spec HG has too much grip on the cusion clear tama, and my maple 2.0 ken was a hair too slick on the silk. After the mash up the ratios are a bit more even.
These are two of my recent mash ups I made towards my play style. They are actually sort of related. The one on the left is a Zebrano OG BLK ken with a Roots Dat Walnut tama with a KUSA string. The Dat Walnut tama grabs fairly well but has just the right amount of slip. The ken on the left is the Dat Walnut ken with a Sweets custom tama. The tama is a cushion tama but without the outer cushion layer, I got it with a mystery kendama and at first I was really pissed because it felt like a cushion but didn't have the same grab or rubbery feeling. It feels like this soft rubber paint but is super smooth and almost glides in your hand. I put a silk string on this combo and with the Roots ken it feel really nice. The tama has just enough grab to still stick lunars but you can adjust lots of tricks.
I'm always interested in what other people are playing. Post a pic of your favorite setup as of right now.
