These look rad! Where from? Oh and also I should be getting my around square everyman begleri in the mail this week! Excited!
the two on the glass are k2's from billetspin, the left is stainless steel/mokume and the right is stainless steel/copper, my spin times are about 8 minutes on those. The far back is lambda all brass with a ruby as the contact point from Dark Sucks (timed an 11 minute spin). The small one in the front is "the mini" from jl lawson, they hand turn their tops, Ive gotten about a 6 minute spin on this little one.
jllawson a manufacturer of one of my spin tops makes a begleri, interesting http://www.jllawsonco.com/collections/best-sellers/products/begleri-16-01?variant=22522597124
- Right now the wooden ones with a blue string in that photo have been getting the most play, I've really beat them up! They're made of Morado/Pau Ferro, perfect weight for me, and they're easier on the hands when you're whipping them around fast. - The brass everyman beads are super rad though (only problem: they apparently make a really really high pitched 'ting!' when they smack together. I can't hear it, but my gf notices every time I play with them, within a few minutes she's always bugging me to use a different pair. lol) - Copper everyman (not pictured) are close behind, very similar to the brass, but I like the colour of the brass more I need to restring the alu titans with a longer bit of cord so I can get back into them. I also have so ti titans, but a friend has them at the moment. Gotta get em back someday soon!
@htimSxelA Did you get an early release of the everyman? Or did you just order 3 of them? I'm trying to figure out how to set mine up well. I was just using the bead with the weights but they seemed too light (I have the aluminum) so I added two weights to each one and I THINK that is better but it is hard to know at this very early stage of slinging. How do you have yours set up Alex? Do the aluminum vs the copper/brass weights differ a lot?
@Ben Lowe I got a few sets a few weeks back, so I've had some time to test em out! I've just been using the copper or brass without any inner weights, the alus have an alu and copper weight in each. The alu are a little light for me like that still, but I think with triple weight and maybe some tape or something to pad the inner beads the alu could be a lot of fun
Nice! You Canadians stick together eh? The copper and brass look really sick for sure. That's cool that they're heavy enough by themselves. I'm super tempted to pick up one of them now... I really like the idea of using the "micro hydra" on their own too. Pretty neat.
I loved balisong, picked it up really quick but eventually got bored. I really wanna try out begleri!
I loved unicycle!! I learned when I was 11, popped the tire and didn't try to get back on till a few months ago, a little sketchy but hey, could still ride
It’s not exactly “skill” but a super awesome fun toy is called Ringstix. It’s a “sword and ring” game that involves tossing rings and catching them with curved plastic swords. Easy to learn, fun to play with a friend!
