Got a bag from South Carolina while I was down there for a disc golf tournament. I used the French Press for the first time in a while and I think I burned the first cup. Haha. Looking forward to drinking something different though.

Looks good! Medium dark is a great choice when stepping down from a dark French roast. When making a French press, besides the coarse grind, the next variable to consider is amount of ground coffee in your maker. If it tasted burnt, you might have had a little too much. Play around with it, and enjoy!

    Yes, grab an Aeropress setup!

My travel bag consists of my AP and Porlex (with others), and it's the best way to get caffeinated anywhere you go!

I've been considering it! But then again, I also use creamer in my coffee and someone in the office keeps taking it!

EDIT: You know what, I'm gonna buy one for home! Hopefully can get a solid 10oz of coffee!

Any recommended coffee I should try? I've been drinking Cameron's since it's local. I'm a loose leaf tea connoisseur so as far as buying coffee I go in blind, haha.

But if tea is your thing, hit me up. I mainly stick to blacks and oolongs, but I've had so many kinds of tea the only ones I haven't had are high-end Pu'erh, mainly because it's so damn expensive for a cake of the stuff I want haha.

Oolong is the way to go! I was a coffe buyer for wholefoods market a while back. Every nowand then the tea vendor would drop of special items not on the market. Pu'erh was always the first choice if I had the option.

I ordered an Aeropress, replaceable filter and a grinder! I generally only make one cup of coffee, so im excited that I won't have to wait for the pot to start filling up. :)

https://taiwanoolongs.com/ For some really rad oolongs. It's owned by Scott who owns Yunnan Sourcing who goes to countries and sources the tea personally. Scott's a good guy and his passion shows in the quality of his products.

Dang man, you mean business when it comes to home brew. Sweet Maria's is the jam though! Roasted some from them myself a while back.

Recently overheard an experienced Starbucks barista talking about how their medium roast had twice as much caffeine as any other coffee because of how dark they roast it. o_O:rolleyes:

I have a few Barista friends, and the one I always go back to for Coffee, is the one who actually owns her own Coffee shop. Some of the best coffee I've ever had.

Every time I've asked for information I've never been steered wrong!

I always point people looking for good coffee to Counter Culture Coffee. There are lots of good roasters out there, but to me, they're consistently great time after time. ESPECIALLY their single origin stuff. https://counterculturecoffee.com/
