When I first started playing kendama over 2 years ago, Kendama USA was one of the only companies that had a sticky painted setup (Tribute Super Sticky).
Over a year later, @teejkolesnik makes Pro at KUSA and his pro mod comes out with a new super sticky paint formula that is different from the Tribute paint.

Now it's another year later and a number of kendama companies have formulated their own version of the 'super sticky' paint. DWI and the Sticky AF paint (I believe they've had that paint for a couple years now, if anyone can verify below), Krom and the Slaydawg LOL Clear, Sweets and the Prime and Phase 1 Clears and many more.

I'm curious about KUSA and the new sticky clears used on TJ's and Wyatt Bray's pro mods. They're both different from each other and the previous Tribute Super Sticky paint and I, for one, was absolutely excited to see Kendama USA come out with new product using the new Super Stick paint on the new Kaizen 2.0s they released late last year. I'm still hoping that this will be a thing that they release!

What do you guys think? Will KUSA join the others and start offering up a series of new Super Stick 2.0s? Or will they stick (lol) with silk paint?

I'm of the opinion that if the dama playing public voices their interests and they are heard. Companies will jump at the chance to make the consumer happy and gain revenue. So I hope they will do that. But as it is you can mix and match and buy an 2.0 and trib super stick and make ur own. I have one. And it's pretty rad.

Oh yeah, definitely. I've put together my own 2.0/trib super stick match up as well, but it'd be really cool to see KUSA come out with new colorways and combinations with a 2.0 release that are unique from the current 2.0 lineup (maybe stripes or natty scope clears).
And again, the 'super stick' paints used on TJ and Wyatt's pro mods are way different than the Tributes. TJ's is more similar to Krom's LOL Clear and Wyatt's is more similar to Sweets Prime paint in my opinion (have only jammed one for a couple minutes).

Yea idk ab the other formulas, just the tribs. But yeah I really like the ghost silk half split and a super stick version would be hella sick. Esp. On a rez ken. But with a 2.0 I'm betting it would be a pretty boss set up as well.
Which formula do you think is best? (Trib, tj's, wyatt's)

Again, I haven't really jammed the new Wyatt Bray pro mod long enough to really form an opinion, but it feels very similar to the Sweets Prime paint and the paint used on the Neo Tokyo series from Ronin Kendama.
The trib super stick paint is way stickier and durable when compared to the updated one used on the Make Waves pro mod. I dropped many tribute super sticks on asphalt and the paint never chipped, just dented and not even all that bad.
Dropped the Make Waves tama on tile floor at my old job and it chipped right off the bat. But it does have a better slip/stick ratio than the Tribs.

I have both of Wyatt's mods and the super stick felt for like a gloss paint that you have to break in rather than being broken in out of the box. For the silk paint it's very tacky out of the box compared to the super stick. I also have one of the old super stick tributes and I don't really remember what it played like out of the box but I would say it has more tack than the super stick bray mod. All in all I wouldn't be surprised if they started a new line of 2.0's but I would probably prefer the silk paint.
