It's more of the appearance of a broken in dama than it actually being a 'cleaner' way. Kenditioner is supposed to make the grain pop (the appearance of a broken in dama) and increase the strength of your wood damas, which means it takes a bit more to break it in, or re-break it in if you kendition an already broken in setup.
One thing I will mention is that for a while the treated wood does feel a bit oily since generally wood finishers have oil(s) in them. Personally I can live with it at least on the woods I've tried but it's worth noting. As for the "clean" aspect, I can only say that it surely looks better to me and at least it's a little bit of a barrier to the grunge which is a plus for me.
Depends on the type of wood and how much you play. On Red Elm it didn't last long but on Hickory or Oak it doesn't seem to penetrate as well but if you wipe it down a few times it's fine. I'll mention again that this is for Bee Kind wood finisher not Kenditioner specifically but they sound as though they are in the same "wood finisher" class of products.
is there a forum for before and after photos of kenditioner on here? I want to know what it does to each and every wood. like zebrano, adn wenge too I feel like those would pop.
@Sam Strohmyer Before After This is when I used KA's first version on a full padauk setup. I can't speak for the most current formula, but the first one works amazingly, and everyone tells me the second version is even better.
Package arrived from Cascade Kendama Co. today! Left is before (forgot to take a comparable shot), right is after. Curly maple with ebony sarado.
No not really, use it than let it soak in a little more before playing it, but from my experience it didn't come onto my hands that much at all
I used beard oil on my terra LLB back in the day and it is still looking great. When it was fresh it smelt good too
Should I kendition my krom x beams? I just wonder if it will effect the design on it? also idk if the ken would stick any different to the lol paint? I’ve only kenditioned natty Dana’s so far.
