Hey everyone! so I have an odd issue that I can't seem to figure out how to fix and if anyone has any tips that could help that'd be awesome. So I have been practicing just a single juggle to spike and I have been starting to get it at least 5/10 tries but the thing I can't seem to get right is the tama control. The best way I can explain what is happening is that when I go to tap the tama back up in the air it does a "reversed earth turn" instead of a regular earth turn rotation and I'm not to sure how to fix this or what's causing it Thanks for any tips or advice you guys could give
Have you tried the @Cooper Eddy juggle spike tutorial? This one’s one of the most helpful tutorials out there.
Thanks!! oh yeah I have watched it a few times haha. my issue is with getting the tama to rotate in a regular earth turn motion. don't know why but it always goes the opposite way.
What mostly works for me is that i curl my fingers a little, and try to have the tama hit the area between your fingertips and palm (in that curl you just made). That worked for me most of the time.
They're "beginning" to learn a trick; so "Beginner's" section. Lot's of "how to" stuff here so there's that too.
Serious question though, where else should it go? If we want to keep beginner things separate it would be worth having a "Tips and Tricks"/"Trick Help"/"Advice" board, or maybe remove beginner all together and just change the name to something like that.
Your point is well taken, thank you. Perhaps some clarification would help. The Beginners' board was created as a place for people just starting out or looking to improve their skills without having to worry too much about how their comments might appear to those further up the food chain. "How to" posts also work here since, as mentioned above, many are about "beginning" to learn a specific trick or skill.
@cpthangover I feel like general Tips and Tricks belong in "The Sesh". As @goenKendama said, the Beginners section is for people that might say "What the heck is a kendama?"
That would make sense but given the sesh being full more more general kendama/industry posts it feels too different. I think the poll is the best way to figure it out, maybe I am just weird.
