Cool man, I'm a 22 year old mechanical engineer in Western Canada doing pump and seal reliability, and I love it. Keep pushing for that goal!
I'm 24. Finishing up a dual-major in Religious Studies and Creative Writing. I don't care what I do to put money in the bank, I just want to keep publishing. I had my first poem published a week ago today and even though writing as a career likely isn't a sustainable future it is my passion and a part of me I never want to give up. I also want to do positive things for my queer community, especially queer youth. When I was a kid, though? I wanted to be a paleontologist.
Oh man, that's tough. I like poetry that pushes boundaries. Stuff that experiments with language or stands strong socially or shows very conscientious use of grammar. As for prose, I like experimental stuff. Books where half the story is in footnotes or where there's creative use of page space. I like things that think of language outside a single dimension and make the written page a unique space. And thank you! It was a very validating moment when I got the letter from the editor telling me they wanted my work, haha.
Very cool, I read the book 'Blindness' many years ago, and if I recall correctly the book has no punctuation, and characters do not have names. It was interesting how those changes affected the feel of the way the story was communicated. The slightly confusing nature of it fit the motif of the novel quite well. Any recommendations for other experimental sort of lit? I'm curious to read some more, I'm usually a fan of out-of-the-box creative sort of stuff.
Yea man haha, I just started 4.5 months ago so I'm not as good as some of the people on here yet but learning!!
honestly as a sophomore in H.S. I don't have the best grades and as a 11 yr wrestler I would like to go into the military; become a cop; cage fighting; or security guard... tbh idk honestly though...
I think it depends where you live.. it's a lot of work but rewarding and satisfying! Send me a PM and I'll happily answer any questions you have
Soccer player. Kendama has entered my already soccer-dominated life with some difficulty. Almost quit dama because of soccer, but yeah, I would love to play professionally someday
That sounds sick! I always dreamt about doing something with movies when I got older. What were your classes like for motion picture production? Learning techniques and terminology and stuff?
Right now, I want to become a pharmacist or pediatrician. I really just want a job where I can help out others in times of need. Outside of this, I want to hand-turn and custom-paint some of my own damas that'll drop every once in a while (like REZ and GT). I want to study bio and CS (in case I decide to use a machine+computer to turn my damas like GT) even though I'm only a freshman. I'm not sure if you can take two courses at the same time in college/university. Can someone help me out with this?
Not sure how other schools handle it but when I was in they would let you have a double major but it had to be approved by department heads and in the case of sciences sometimes it stretched your stay to 5 years rather than the standard 4. Some places will also let you "minor" in a second field but I have no further info on that one.
