I’ll have to look it up when I get the chance. Actually very curious about what these kids are saying.

If all they can do is juggle and new school tricks and think they’ll get respect from that, it’s pitiful. I can’t do juggles, I don’t follow trends, I do what I want... so whateva!

Being honest though, juggles are pretty cool. And it does take a lot of effort to get them down (as most of us are already aware of). Coming up 3 years on dama and I'm just now starting to get consistent at double juggles to big cup and finally starting to hit triples (to big cup) while I know of other players who legit focus on leveling up where they want (in this case juggling) and have recently hit 10 juggle to spike.
But yes, basing someone's 'worth' as a dama player solely on if they can or can't do juggles (or some/any other new gen trick) is pretty ignorant. For them and for us/others who prefer different styles of play.
    DOUBLE STANDARD! :cool::cool::cool:
And yes, absolutely everyone should just do what they want and have fun doing it with other people who do what they want too.

    Ditto on this.

I admittedly used to have this bad attitude, lowkey dissing people who could only juggle, but after spending time on the juggle grind, I have the utmost respect for new gen players now. Farthest I've ever gotten is double juggle to big cup, and I can't tap for my life, but people nowadays can juggle and tap and insta like nothing, and it's crazy how much work they put in.

Juggles are hard to do (I understand that), and I could see how satisfying it is once it’s locked down. Right now it’s all I see, and after awhile it gets rather boring to see players doing it almost on a daily basis. Not to say I don’t have respect for people that can do juggles like it’s their day job. Perhaps maybe I’ll get just juggles down someday, but I try not to let be the “be all, end all” as a player as no one else should look at it that way either.

imo juggles are just the more "attainable" trend just because not everyone can gypsy flip or maybe even fast hands. haha

(i'm lowkey salty just because my success rate for juggle to big cup or spike is less than a third of the time lol)

I feel like only the Grain Theory guys do this. Mainly to be like I DGAF cause I get my setups for free. I still love those guys though.

I can hear it in my head. "Ok guys, after you lace a really sweet line we need you to throw your kendama straight on the ground."

"But...its like a pretty nice kendama."

"I know I know, it is the best of the best, but we need all these kids out there throwing their spec mods on the ground so they chip faster and we make more money."

    Needs to be said.
Company bashing. Especially after just one negative interaction with them and blowing it way out of proportion.

The JKA airplane is actually different than what we are accustomed to.
But if it actually is the JKA airplane, i don’t see how it’s a bad trend..

Not so much the technique, but the finish.
Our airplanes land with the small cup facing us.
JKA airplanes land with the big cup facing them.

You'll be tempted to try, but it gets awkward real fast.

I thought you meant those weird throw-y aeroplanes I’ve seen people do in their KWC runs. Anyway, I hate those

It’s actually not that easy to do, despite it looking easy.
    And it’s JKA approved.
It’s commonly called the Speed Trick B airplane.
