No, but a kid at or club has a mahogany spike, prime beech cups, and beech tama. It slays so hard for slingers

Which natty Ozora, they make a few? The current "normal" JKA approved models are beech/cherry tama, all enjyu, and all keyaki.

It’d definitely work. The contrast between the slightly darker and lighter woods is really good.

I'm considering getting the bundle sol was offering, how heavy are these two? Just so I have an Idea of what I'd be getting into.

I have the walnut/ash ken and full ash tama version of this. Mine has a 77g ken but the tama is only 70g and I had a feeling that would be the case. Which is fine because I can always find a home for natty ash tamas. I haven't played hardly any sol but I like the shape of this Ken a lot. Very solid but without feeling bulky like a slaydog etc.

As far as the woods question:
    Maple x Ash
    Birch x Ash both ways
Bamboo goes with most everything if weight wasn't limiting.
Beech tamas kinda go with everything.
I'd have to go pair up a bunch of the more "exotic" woods to give a real opinion on them.

I want to know if a maple E1 tama is going to work on a beech Prime ken. Is it honed? Both of these parts are super lightweight in the low-to-mid 60s.

I don't see why not, it's basically the opposite of sweets pro mods which are maple kens with beech tamas. I like the sticky AF paint on the E1's a lot.

Always make sure to use a softer wood for the tama and a harder wood for the ken. You want to break the tama not the ken.
