IIRC, it's going to Airplane straight from the cups in ken grip (like the small cup to airplane part of Around Denmark) Not sure how to do that from Stuntplane, but Alex/DotD usually posts trick vids accompanying the trick list in order so I'd be on the lookout for that to see how wrong I am.
If you're right on that, it's a similar motion as stuntplane flip, but the ken goes a little bit higher, then rotate your wrist to the right (for right-handed players), so the tama hole now faces up, and ready to catch a jumping stick.
Ahh of course. In the cups version it’s basically just pushing the ken up into the air so it falls spike facing down while catching the tama with the hole faceup, so I’d imagine it would be similar to the stuntplane flip you brought up while rotating the tama in the air at the same time to catch it correctly
To @xplodit and @KeeganS , @TerraKendama came clean on Insta and details the Kinobi. It's a stuntplane, swap to earth turn (ken grip finish).
Ahhh. So in essence, it’s a swap from ken grip to tama grip (or vice versa) ending in a spike/in then? I got my description of it from heychelseamay when she did her 100 trick challenge a year or two ago.
I'm glad this trick has a name now (or rather the name has made its way to me), I like referring to a combo as a shorter name. stunt flip swap earth turn was confusing at times
IIRC, in Chelsea’s clip in IG when she did this trick it’s named after Obi Wan Kenobi (dont know who named it).
(No need for spoiler warnings, because by this time, if you haven't seen TLJ, something's wrong with ya) I effing find it confusing that Force ghosts are now capable of physical-world Force Lightning. Also, the texts weren't burned. I should open up a thread in NDD for TLJ discussions.
I'd say let's see how long we can do it here until an admin/staff member notices...but you're one of them hahaha.
Does anyone have a video with an example of this? Seems interesting but I can’t wrap my head around it
You’ll have to dig for it but to Heychelseamay’s insta and you should be able to find a vid of her doing an Around version.
I've been lagging on getting the monthly trick video done, but it'll be up soon! In the meantime, we used the same trick in our July battle. So you can see a stuntplane -> kinobi in this instagram post
