I have created a goal to find and list every kind of paint type. If you could name other paint types, the brand that makes it, and explain how they feel that would be awesome! So far all I know about are: Sweets: Cushion Clear Pro Clear Prime clear aTack phase 1 Architect clear Krom: LOL Rubber translucent gloss Kusa: kusa super stick Silk Glossy translucent Ozora: Matte Premium Sol: Sol sticky clear Rubber Analog: ET Satin ISR: Rhino clear Sourmash: sticky clear Kendama CO: Zen Sticky af TK-16 paint
I think there is a thread on this but I my be wrong @goenKendama but, there are the sticky clears including LOL, sticky af, prime clear, phase 1 clear, kusa super stick, etc. Also, we have silks from kusa and others and glossy paint like on Tk's and ozoras.
There are currently 35 threads available via the "Search" function using these keywords: paint, painting, clear, and coating. However it does not appear that any one thread covers "all" known paint types/coatings. If @adamv27 is willing to keep his original post updated with entries this could be a valuable single stop resource for people. Here are a few of those threads: Best Paint Colors, Designs, Custom Paints: Likes/Dislikes Cushion Clear vs LOL Clear Dama Paints Favorite Type of Paint? Is Cushion Clear Better Than Silk? Paint Chipping Paint - Inmediate Play/ Long Term Slay Paint Questions For Custom Tamas Phase 1 Clear: Thoughts? Silk Paint Stickiest Paint You've Ever Played? Sticky AF? Sweets Tama Paint Techniques *It's also worth mentioning that "paints" and "coatings" are different though for this thread it would be handy to have both listed together.
TK-16 Paint: Glossy coat. Most durable paint in the game, won't chip unless you put it under extreme abuse. Regarded by most, if not all, as the slickest paint in the game.
Sweets: aTack Ozora: Premium and Matte KUSA: Silk Sol: sticky clear coat paint (no special branding name)
Thank you. This should end up being a very helpful thread. If you could put the maker's names with the types, where you know them, it would be good I think.
Let's see, there's the Sourmash sticky clear, Kendama Co zen paint, KROM translucent gloss, Ronin's Neo Tokyo clear, the Architect clear (could go under Sweets considering that Sweets had Architect customs in the past), and Sol's rubber on the vibes.
Yes, currently Street Black, Street Blue, and White Red Fade stripe. (Previously, Year of the Monkey.)
Wow, didn't know they had more than just the Street Black. Would've loved to have that White/Red fade stripe!
They have new releases yearly but they also do "sprint runs" of odds and ends now and again. The White/Red I "think" is going to be regular product for a while. I just 2 minutes ago finished applying a new wood finisher to it so it will be playable in a day or two. I've never tried one of their matte painted ones so I'm looking forward to it.
