So I won a v9 sapphire from sweets during the holidays and im not really sure if I want to play it and I know sweets probably won't be making alot more painted kens so I really don't know. I really want to jam the cush because I've never played cush so im not sure aha.
Nothing's stopping you from putting the tama on a different ken Cushion is good. Nearly any ken will go great with it. I say try seshing with it for a bit. You'll figure out what you want to do with it afterwards.

I say play it! The more time you spend seshing it, the more you will develope a bond with it. The truth of the matter is that pretty much any kendama you buy will one day not be made any more. I would rather have a collection of kendamas that I have beat the hell out of then a bunch of brand new ones.
I have one and it is great to play with. Cushion Clear is a great paint, and the Prime shape is great, so you can not really go wrong.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the V9’s remained available for purchase for a while longer.(but I doubt they’d be doing another run in the immediate future) I wouldn’t worry about jamming something that would have been super valuable if you would have saved it. Jam her, pick up an extra one if you regret playing it in a week or so.
