Is the slaydawg tama bigger than a normal tama? I have swapped out for a normal sized tama and they seem to play the same. Anyone know if they are bigger
BUMP! Friends, question: would you trade/sell a Slaydawg to acquire a Craft 2.0 Plus? I'm asking because I am a fan of the 2.0 shape as well as the slaydawg shape, and both are solid choices to go with (I have 3 of each). Is the Plus-sized Craft Maple 2.0 worth it?
USA! USA! USA! USA! (I’d love to trade in a couple of damas for a Canadian made one though. Canada > USA. Sorry folks.)
I love my plus sized damas. A few I specifically love (Ordered from favorite to still good, but not best) 1: Kristian Aynedter pro mod (So good that I have 3) 2: Craft Slim Plus (High quality, really hoping to scoop a 2nd) 3: KROM Slaydawg (the ken feels nice - tama has amazing paint!) 4: Premium Terra LBB (High quality, a little larger than the rest) 5: Sol Flow (AMAZING feel, slightly poor lunar balance) You cannot go wrong with any of these plus sized damas, so take my ordering with a grain of salt (or grain of theory).
I really like bigger kendamas, I feel like they are all in good shapes! The new Sol vibes or the slaydogs are my favorites and those are really good
As far as I know, Terra is the company that dominates damas in Canada prob because A: I don’t know of any other Canadian kendama company B: I’m a super fan of their LBB series and other works
I seem to remember another but can't remember it right now but Canadian Wood Custom Skilltoys is also up there.
Curtis is sad you forgot him altogether. He makes some amazing stuff at CWCS. Also, as IRC, Tim Sloos makes some fantastic stuff at Flux Kendama.
I can vouch for CWCS! I won a CWCS kendama from an FKC giveaway and it is a certified work of art in terms of aesthetics and playability.
I got the ash cups sol flow and it's awesome! Slings are great, but breaking it in will take longer because of more surface area. Overall I highly recommend
Yeah, I totally forgot about Flux and CWCS! The only thing is Flux’s products are all sold out, and as much as I wanna buy a CWCS, I really need to focus on saving money now that I’ve purchased some GTs recently
I got pretty lucky with my 6 yr B-Day Dawg. 78g ken 82g tama. It definitely feels good, and lunar balance is on point for sure.
BUMP! What is your opinion on KUSA releasing the shift plus? The shift in its own right already has massive cups; wouldn't an upscaled kendama feel clunky in the hand? Asking from those peeps who've played with the Shift Plus.
Depends on the wood species! But they'll be heavier than normal. Probably 75-100 g, depending on the wood and ken. Slim Plus is my fave
