I was seshing some dama in the foothills yesterday. Didn't get back into cell range till a couple hours after the drop. Still managed to snag one from yoyoexpert before they sold out there. I've never had a GT so this will be fun to try out! It's kinda funny.. a thousand seems like a large batch. But it might be a small batch relative to the demand for GTs lol
Well that’s 1000 spread worldwide, and sold in physical shops too. There were probably more like 300-400 on their website and yoyoexpert.
Yeah, doesn’t surprise me. When I said 300-400 online I honestly was thinking more like 150-200 which is still just a guess.
wait what? what do you mean with sarados stuck? Edit: I think I got what you meant haha. Stuck so that you can't change the string to the wormhole right? still looking forward to mine even if it's stuck. Until now every single ken has lost its sarado atleast once while playing.
I haven't messed around with the sarado yet. But mine plays great! If it's stuck I bet it will unstick over time..
LOL I don't actually have one, I've just heard that lots of people are having trouble with stuck sarados.
Mine came last night and I haven’t been able to put it down. I’ve never played a GT so this is my first experience but I am instantly in love with the shape. Amazing lunar balance, perfect weight for me (74), and really high quality wood. The paint is perfect. Less sticky than other sticky AF tamas which is actually really nice. I’m loving it so much.
I am in the USA, and mine still hasn't come yet... I know a lot of local people who received theirs days ago. Anyone else?
It looks like Matt Rice was doing most if not all of the shipping meaning they're coming from Portland rather than however GT normally ships their drops. Like most of my DWI orders, mine came the day after he got them in the mail since I'm in the same city. Based on his Instagram, it looks like he got a batch out on Saturday and a batch out on Sunday. Not sure if they're all out yet though.
That would make sense. I am in California, so its usually takes about 2 days for it to arrive, but at least for me, it is taking a lil bit longer. I ordered it maybe 1 hour after the drop officially happened, so I would not be surprised if it was shipped out on Sunday, so I will probably get mine a day late...
My stitch arrived today and It is real beauty. Don’t know for you all but the weigths on mine are matching perfectly (70g ken and 71g tama), it is a real pleasure to play.
