Really want to try a kendama with a lunar balance hole and I'm sort of torn between analog's satin bamboo and Krom's beams. I exclusively use Krom at the moment but I'm willing to try something new. Any thoughts? Also any others I should know about?
Yancy Customs has some really nice damas made with balance holes. Haven't played one in person, but I've heard that they're great. As for your two choices, I would get the Analog satin bamboo. If you haven't tried the LOL Clear with the maple Beams shape, then go with the KROM. Go with what you like, and you'll be happy in the end.
I wouldn't say lack of tracking. The tracking on the Beams is definitely better, but the vertical stripes help you know the orientation of the hole. Also, it's good to learn on a dama that doesn't have great tracking.
