I don’t know why I only bought one, kicking myself for it now. BUT I wanted to ask if you lovely people think I should SLAY it, or SHELF it.

I've been wondering the same thing! Why didn't I buy two? Same with my yaki... Slay or Bae?! I absolutely love the feeling of a brand new keyaki. No other kendama can compare to the feeling of a fresh crispy keyaki! I want to slay so much but my heart says no...
Maybe after I post some pics I'll slay them, and look back on those pics when they are shredded :(
Destroy all damas... does that apply to fresh keyakis and yellow ozoras?

@ShovelLovell Unless you think of the yellow as an investment or you just think it's too gorgeous to play then I'd say "slay."

@Jedi_man Every second that yaki is collecting dust is a second you aren't enjoying it; besides they're not rare and can be replaced (one of my personal criterion for slay vs shelf). Keyaki is probably my favorite wood and I finally got an Ozora version about a month ago. It's not as beefy as my Minna no Kendama but still lovin' the wood; funky smell and all.

If it can be replaced, or is not rare, play it!

It’s not the rarest dama out there, but I only know of one place to buy it online and it’s $120. I think I’m probably going to just go ahead and play it. More enjoyment from it that way.

FWIW Ozora is known to bring back models/colors if there is enough interest. The light blue Ozora disappeared at the same time as the yellow and it has already been brought back.

I'm surprised it hasn't been brought back already, I feel like there's been more of a demand for yellow than there was for orange and orange has had a second release

The first orange Premium was a KUSA exclusive IIRC. The second orange (Premium), was a limited release but not exclusive.

Didn't know that it was KUSA affiliated, that's pretty cool!

It would, but if they could somehow release yellows again with the same paint as the old ones, THAT would be nice. Ooz paint is one of my top fav paints

Slay it, of course, or otherwise donate it to @HelloLouke 's ever growing collection of yellow Ozoras.

I've been playing mine also. It feels so natural and down-to-earth... the difference between an iPhone and a good book. No flashy EZ-trick stuff or anything, but yet slays hard due to the sheer crispness. The paint is way tackier than some, I've hit some good lighthouse lines and some lunars on it. Has anyone noticed that with Ozoras, the original ozora ken it comes laced with grips the tama way better than any other ken? My white ozora and now the yellow both display this strange quality.
Overall I'm hyped to play this and I'm convinced it really does have magic powers!

I have a bunch of Ozora that I play regularly, and have long been of the opinion that the cups on the Ozora ken break in as well as the paint. By which I mean they seem to soften up on the edges and grip even the glossy tamas really well. The only pay off is the ken will eventually deteriorate a bit quicker than normal IMO.

Ive said it many times on here I'm sure, but to me the Ozora ken shape is the one I feel most comfortable with.

Current main jammer is a beech Ozora on a well seshed silk turquoise Kaizen tama.
