I like the same setups as well. But I disagree with the crutch point though... When I want to have some fun, I grab my primes, shift w/ cushion clear tama or analogs and just go crazy with tricks I would never think to try on my E1 or OG HG.
It had me thinking... did KUSA ever planned to get crafts painted??? would we every get to see a shift in either super stick/silk or in a new type of paint??? @htimSxelA
Since they don’t paint in house like Sweets it would’ve been either their manufactured tamas (silks or super sticks, would love a Shift sized super stick tama) paired with Crafts or a small (very small) drop of painted collabs from other artists/groups (Sourmash, one of their custom painters like Cooks, Girr, etc).
Dylan Westmoreland went live on KendamaUSA's instagram, and showed the crews kendamas that were sent in for KWC. A little (probably unplanned) Easter egg was that many of the bags had "slim" written on it. Keep your eyes peeled for an updated slim shape coming soon! (hopefully not another prime remake, but what can you do...)
Primes were first. I love everything about the pops ken shape aside from the skinny spike. It makes it harder to do whirlwinds.
Really impressed of the shape and overall quality of the maple shift. Kusa is really setting the standard for a premium Kendama.
So, I don’t know much about The Crafts. But, when a wood is sold out how long till they are back in stock or do they ever come back in stock?
that one we are not sure... just like the other crafts, we don't know yet but one thing is for sure that these goes in limited quantities. As far as restock, we just hope that the demand for it would still be many so KUSA could consider making more sooner than we think. I myself would cop one in birch & maple if i got the budget but $70 really hurts my savings, let's just wait for sales of it soon...
Has anyone seen this before? My halo just came and the sarado is dyed black where the string was wrapped around it.
I’ve never had that happen to damas I get straight out the package but that has happened to damas in my collection depending on what string I use and how tightly wound it is around the sarado. It’s just the dye from string staining it so it’s not too big a problem, a wet rag or baby wipe will take it off.
That can happen if it is at a high temperature during shipping, or gets exposed to moisture. It occasionally happens to kendamas that have gotten lots of use and are wrapped up with a tight string, but I have seen other fresh damas that already have that mark on it right out of the box. WHen something like this happens it is usually not the company's fault, and it happened during shipping / handling. You could probably sand it down to show the wood underneath if you want to get rid of that mark, but I also bet KUSA's customer service can send you a new one if you have a good reason. Kendama USA has the best customer service I have seen out of any kendama brand, so any defects or shipping problems they can usually handle it.
Really digging the new Kaizen Shift and Slim color designs (the Halo and the Bands). Bit more eclectic than their previous designs (solids, stripes, half and trip splits, etc) but still classy. Anyone care to predict which pro/player will get a new pro mod in the newer shapes? Would love to see a new Dave Mateo pro mod in a Shift shape.
Dear Santa please let it be Bishoff The big companies are WAY past due to give their women pros pro mods
