So many people are stoked over the new REZ/GT collab with the REZ-BH setup. I remember REZ had a similar collab with Sweets at (I believe) the 2016 MKO with a REZ Homegrown. What other ken shapes would you like to see cast in resin? What shapes do you think would not be as durable when cast in resin?
Honestly I'd just love to see any new resin cast damas come out! I always wanted a REZ but have never been in a place financially where I wanted to throw down for one. It would be amazing to see someone take up the mantle and keep pushing the limits of how good a non-wood kendama can be.
I believe TeePee (https://www.teepeekendamas.com/) is making some resin kendamas. Heres a DS thread https://www.downspike.com/threads/teepee-rez-ken.4052/#post-42918 I have never tried one or anything from TeePee, but they seem legit.
I really want a bh hardwood. The Rez bh mods look so nice, but $140-$160 is so damn expensive even for gt.
For sure, definitely would love to see a resin Slaydawg or Sol Shape. Those and the Craft Shift shapes might be a few of the more thicker shapes that'll make it more durable.
Last I saw on FKC, it looked like the TeePee resin ken was nearly complete, think they're just tweaking a few things to make it more playable (they made the sarado thicker). The shape looks REALLY good. @Qonnor REZ has definitely made a niche in kendama that is now waiting to be filled again, hopefully whoever steps up is able to put in the same amount of time and effort into each individual ken like Kris did.
