That skinny spike is the only reason why I have yet to buy a new Krom pro mod. I am not a fan of the Pop (Bunnifer Lopez) shape. It feels cheap or flimsy, not slaydawg caliber.
The Tama size is 1% larger than a standard tama, where as the slaydawg tama's are 3% larger. In my opinion, you'll be fine using the Krom pro tama on a shift or slim
Definitely can be used on a new craft slim or shift. The slim/shift tama is also about 1% larger (a lot of people thought it was more, but it is actually just a small difference) so it is a perfect match. One of my favorite setups is a maple slim ken x rolf mod tama. Completely slays.
This is Iji's personal setup. I met him before this shape was released and he let me borrow it and jam for a moment. It's so damn honed for birds. and just like Nick Lectura said, the 1% isn't noticeable but probably our subconsciousness can tell the difference. my hand is so small tho
If i wasn't mistaken understanding him in Japanese, since I'm not that good in Japanese, he said it's 4% +1% unreleased pop. I'm not sure if it's a prototype or unreleased or not yet released. but he compared his setup with normal pop, the cups slightly bigger. too bad i didn't took the side by side comparison. so I'm pretty sure it was +4% +1% or simply +5% cups size.
two questions: 1. How long does the string come on the 1% pro mods? 2. In your opinion, should I get a 7 year bday for $35 or a 1% mod?
