i don't do this what so ever, the only exception to this is i have a keyaki musou that i HAVE played just not a lot. i find it kind of silly to buy fresh kendamas and just have them lying around for "future use" or maybe im just impatient
I’ve bought and have a few freshies still sitting around in my collection.. bought all 3 dot bursts by Sweets from Target only opened one for seshing. The other 2 stayed packaged and were later given away to friends. I have a Sol Strawberry Milk that I received as a gift from Chad Covington owner of Sol in an order I placed with them. He was showing some local KY love when I ordered a couple damas from them and threw his model in for free. I have it saved fresh to either giveaway once I start doing local Jams in my area.. or I’m going to get him to sign it at BATB19 my first comp I’ll be attending and save forever as fresh. I also have a few other freshies that I have pulled out of box but haven’t played yet.. Craft Ash Slim, Fortress paperply ken, Sweets MKO’18 Kendama with silicone band. And I have a Mugen on the way I probably won’t open and an exotic rollling pin by Sweets..
It’s really sick! The only thing I will say is that I treat it as a “trainer” dama. Both cups being the same size and it’s very tall and light so I use it to learn tricks or practice certain ones and it really has helped me improve!

I totally believe it will! It works for me! I use it maybe twice a week and I’ve seen major improvements in my game
I have a few damas I am keeping fresh, mostly because I am moving out of the country for 6 months this year and I want to have something to look forward to coming back to. I’ve got a cherry Jarod mod from DWI, a red roku GT-E1, a zebrono peppermint Bon Bon Sweets Prime (SO BEAUTIFUL), and an unopened Mugen Musou Sakura Pearl. I plan to slay them all eventually but the anticipation is kinda fun!
I grabbed a zebrono peppermint BonBon. The zebrono is soo nice paired with the cushion clear if u got that one
Yeah that’s totally the set up I got as well and I’m in love with it! First zebrono ken for me and it pairs so well with that waffle cone design on the bottom 30% of that tama that I don’t know if I want to slay it or eat it
Haha I was the same. I thought that it would be a perfect looking combo and was spot on! Hope u enjoy it when u get to it.. I paired mine with a light green string from my GT stitch Teal and fits really well
I actually have flattened the spike on my walnut GT-E1 so I was going to try to pair that tama up with something else. I may just have to reuse that string on the bon bon based on your comment, great idea! Glad that someone feels the way I do about the aesthetic of that kendama. I wasn’t going to buy it but I literally had a dream about it and told my gf and she bought the last freaking one for my birthday last month. I feel lucky to have it and for that reason I gotta keep it fresh for a while haha
I bought 5 of the GT legaxis mods (2 KA, 3 BH) so that when I destroy the one I’m playing I can go straight into destroying another!
