SuLab offers an early reservation option on drops for members. Saturday’s member drop had a reservation period that started at 7pm JST. I live in CST in Tennessee, so I checked what time that is here and got Saturday at 4am. I set an alarm at 3:59, submitted my reservation at 4am on the dot, but unfortunately I was told I missed the drop time and they are already sold out. Can someone explain to me if I messed up the time conversation? This has happened to my three times, and it’s more frustrating every time. Thanks for the input.
I just was checking and didn't realize TN had 2 time zones like we do in Texas. I'm not sure that it's a time zone thing however. IIRC I saw somewhere that Su Lab drops prioritize their local Japanese regular customers first. The membership thing brings you up in the priority line but doesn't guarantee you'll score. Seems there is almost always more demand than product available. (this isn't gospel but what I'm dredging up from the recesses of my brain case) Also consider that any communication in English might be from someone who speaks it as a second language so "missing the drop time" might really mean "we've already sold out" for whatever reason. FWIW There are a ton of time zone sites but I've been using this one since it displays all the day's times next to each other so I can get an idea of how to slide an event one way or the other without having to put in a new time and get a single time back.
Thank you for the insight. I was hoping to hear from you on this, and this is exactly what I needed. I could have sworn I had the time zone thing correct, but after so many SuLab mishaps I figured I’d reach out.
