Favorite: Juggles, yeah I'm not the best at them but you can do so much with them. Bunus when you land a clean juggle line it looks really good. Least favorite: Axe, I don't know why I just think they look weird, and they are really hard. But if you can land a crazy axe line like the Gallenger's then I have a lot of respect for you. (Sorry if I butchered your name Nick and Zack Gallenger)
fav: birds, downspikes, whirlies, lh-flips hate: stilts and every damn string-trick. cant do anything except a flying-v
I used to think the same thing man... I know this sucks, but the key really is just to practice. It took me 2 months of constant grind to lace my first double juggle to big cup. Now juggles are in my go-to trick list. Keep slayin!
Favorite: Zero gravity tricks Least Favorite: anything triple (and up) related and of more recently taps
Favorite: Lunars and Juggle to Spikes. I find oddly that I'm much more consistent with Inward Loons more than normal ones. Or at least inward looks way more steezy. Juggle to spikes have always been difficult for me but now I've slowly been working them into my game. They have been a go to finisher for any kendama line I'm doing whether in K.E.N or a in a clip. Least Favourite: Gunslingers and Inward Lighthouse Flips. Slingers because my fingers just don't allow them at all. Anything above a single seems impossible for me. Inward LH flips are just difficult to spot and the flick is much more difficult to predict rotations for me. Overall most tricks are just about the grind and how much work you put in to learn them!
Least BY FAR is axe. Definitely feels like somebody messed up and was like "ayeee I made a new trick!"
Yeah not long after I posted this I started grinding lunars a lot. Getting much better at them and definitely not my least favorite anymore! I quite like lunars at the moment.
My favorite trick has gotta be downspikes, there is something about the sound and the feeling of a clean downspike that just gives a feeling of satisfaction! My most hated trick is probably down whirlwind, I just can never get the hang of it!
Favorite: Slingers. Always love the feeling of the ken rotating on your finger. It looks so smooth and it whips so fast. I notice that when you present slingers to individuals that have never seen a dama before, they are blown away by it. Something so simple, but it's fast and mind blowing. If you blink, you might just miss it! Least favorite: Anything with ken flips or juggles. I never really got along with those. I've been trying to work on my juggle game, but it's just hard for me. I flick it too hard, too soft, not enough pull up from the tama and then the tension + gravity just messes with me. No bueno!
Ironically I can't stand downspikes. I'm absolutely terrible at them. scooping goldfish was another one that drove me nuts as a beginner. I like any lunar flips, they're just so classic and crowdpleasing
Same. But I probably should actually try to practice them and see if I end up liking them...? I dunno.
Favourite: Probably zero gravity. This trick looks cool, is easy, and is really satisfying to pull off. I also like downspike. Least favourite: Lighthouse is really hard for me (I haven't landed it ever yet!). One that I hate that I can do is probably bird, but that's just because I'm not consistent with them.
