We all know there are different "hot spots" for kendama in the US and around the world. Where do you wish you could live because of kendama, and why? I'd probably live in either Vancouver, Canada or Washington, because I've had some of the best times playing dama on that side of the US! So many kendama players over there! I could also see myself enjoying SoCal or Copenhagen!
Copenhagen would be an obvious choice since I am already from Denmark, but I just really don't like the city at all. KROM HQ is there sure, and there are maybe 2-3 other places I like to visit every year, but that's it. I get really bad vibes from that city for some reason. I think it's the way the people talk... I think Vancouver is definitely where I'd like to be! I like to think of Canada as a pretty cool mix of Denmark and the U.S. The Terra shop is probably the one kendama place I'd like to hang out the most!
Tbh I'd want to live anywhere there is a at least small kendama club. I'm so isolated from any other players
I live in San Diego so I have a pretty solid community here and super close to the OC and LA scenes which is pretty tight. But if I had to pick another place I'd go to Portland or San Francisco!
Hmm I mean I do love Vancouver, but if I had to pick somewhere else... Tokyo would be cool, lots of players and meetups, and the city is amazing. Plus I love Japanese food. Long term worry: I think I would go crazy living in Japanese culture for an extended period of time haha. So many rules! Maybe San Francisco, but circa 2012, back when the KG battles were still going! Orrr Portland. I've spent some time there and it seems cool, plus Rice and all of the COTK guys are in the area, and they're the homies. Long term worry: Americans and their guns.
Hawaiiiii for surrrre. There's perfect lighting like everyday, and the beach is one of my favorite spots to yam; the heat to get your jammer sticky and the water to chill out in. Plus lots of dama love is going on there. Hecka homies! <3
The only place I would for sure want to live would be Portland. I've always wanted to go up and visit just because it seems like a cool place to live in. I'm a fan of the weather there too, even if my immune system isn't. Oh and COTK and Grain Theory are there too so that's a plus. KG Tuesday is basically a GT life hang out. You'd fit right in
