PS Almost 1 of each kendama stickers I've ever gotten with an order goes on my guitar, ukulele or sketchbooks
Before Kendama, and still now, I always strive to be a better Tricker ( I do a sport called "Tricking") than I am (and lately I've been making some great progress) and I play the Piano.
Fruitbooted before I ever knew what kendama was, saw it in random skate videos I have, had always wondered what it was. Then I found a cheap plastic one like 5-6 years ago, played it for a couple months...then realized that kendama was bigger than I thought and I was playing on wack shit lmao. Last skate edit I had made, was a few years ago for sure lol. Still blade as much as my destroyed body will let me
I've been a juggler since 1994, and then spent a lot of time with diabolo. I can juggle 7 balls and run 2 diabolos, although not simultaneously.
I play Afro Cuban Drumss and billiards. I was skating until I shattered my ankle. Kendama was in my speedy recover gift bag from a friend. He opened up a new world to me!
I was and still am a musician before a Kendama player. I started as a percussionist and was in a group called Cavaliers Indoor Percussion that placed 9th in the World Class of percussion the year I played with them. YouTubing cavaliers drum and bugle corps will give you all sorts of results. Now I mostly play piano and rap. Also throughout all of highschool I played Baseball and Basketball. Lets be real though dama is more fun.
- Yoyoing (on and off), since 1999 - Archery, 2003 - 2010 - state sponsored player - Badminton, current - recreational player - Others include bowling, cubing, basketball, and darts (soft tip / hard tip).
-Basketball(I still suck)(I still do this because I'm fat AF) -Cubing(Really slow)(I barely do this, but I'll still do it once in a while) -Tanki Online(but not really anymore considering that I forgot the password for all 3 of my accounts[lol]) -Clarinet(still playing right now in 8th grade)(Can't quit this because I actually like doing this) -Rainbow Loom(please just silently accept it....) -Watch toku!(Preferably Kamen Rider and Super Sentai)(I still do this a lot) -Yo-Yo(I quit in less than a week, so that sucks) -Sport Stacking(fastest time for me is about 13 seconds) And I guess that's it for now.
I remember playing balero in Mexico wayy before I started playing kendama. I couldn't remember what they were called until I read this!
Those were some huge rail spins! So many kendama Players are skiers (when I first started playing kendama, I didn't know that these worlds were so connected!)
I've been into skiing for my whole life (but I've never liked ski racing- mainly Freeskiing and big mountain). Most of the things that I was into before kendama, I am still into now, like creating music. Another one of these would be parkour. One thing that I was into before kendama that I don't do anymore is fingerboarding. I still think fingerboarding is a cool thing, but it kind of faded out for me, and kendama has far surpassed it in my mind.
Since this has turned into a freeski thread... Skiing is and has always been my #1 passion. Its the reason @Grandpa Sandz and I went to film school and its also how we found kendama (shout out to Willi's ski shop in Pittsburgh!)
Snowboarding and skateboarding for most of my life. Soccer was a passion also. Was starting varsity and lettered all 4 years in high school but that was about the end of that. Also bowling. That one I'm very good at and still do to this day.
