instead of throwing dama's, I'd like to see some more creative trick celebrations. Think of it like an end zone dance. What would Odell Beckham Jr do?

I always feel awkward after I land a trick on film.... what do I do? smile? thumbs up? Jake has always clacked the tama and ken together or has some side step thing that looks way cooler than I'll ever be. Mateo does the spin, umm... that's the only players I can really characterize by their ending reactions.... Seems like most enders are just sighs of relief or the mind-blown-because-at-my-skill-level-this-was-complete-luck face.

@Bryan Scagline called out! Its okay though, I chuck damas around sometimes too.

Want to see some good celebrations? Look up some of the 'Kendama Joe' edits. He has the craziest celebrations. Donald Grant also worth checking out for some great aprés trick routines.

Not really a trend but when someone boasts about having so much "style" but literally only does swirls and repetitive spacewalks.
    Really grinds my gears.

I have one and it may just be me, but I see it ruin so many edits. When someone is shooting a banger and clearly lace their desired trick, but then just try to proceed and add on to it with a quad inward whirly or some shit that they miss. It really irks me that so many players can't stop and take a moment to appreciate and admire what they had just done.

What I don't get it why they leave it in the footage. If you miss, unless it is for comedic effect, why not edit it out? What value does it add to leave it in? Takes away from the first trick, even if it was an insane trick IMO.

Almost forgot - When people go for a transition from base cup ken grip to lighthouse and their hand is in contact with the ken and the tama. They eventually change the grip to the tama, but if the swap doesn't look like a lighthouse fast hand I consider it cheating. Same as thumb lunars if you aks me.

I've noticed this at many, many Kendama events and even mini-jams... this is also a post for Dank Meme's MEGATHREAD too! Ha ha ha...

Should event hosts screen competitors to see if they're more suitable for other competitions based on skill level? (i.e. looking through Instagram)

I am kind of tired of what I consider to be the ridiculous over-usage of kendama slang. Like, I'll say "Oh yeah, I slayed yesterday!", but when people go out of their way to cram as many terms into one sentence, like: "Wassup Fam, have you peeped this new dama? go cop one and never be soft again", it's just annoying to me. And that's not even that good of an example.
