Yank-spike champ, Freestyle champ, Open Divsion champ, etc. which one can you remember got you the MOST hyped?? The amount of yanks I saw during the yank comp was one of the hypeest things ever to me. (I suck at yanks). Also my boi Nicky G. winning Open Divsion was an immense amount of hype as well.
Golden Yank spike was the most hype fosho! But all the wins were insane.. Nick and CJs match was sooooo intense and Bonz's bangerz had my jaw on the floor.
I wasn't there, but all 3 seemed pretty crazy via video that I was able to see online. When Sweets couldn't finish his countdown during Bonz tap UFO to lunar, that was bonkers!! The consistency of CJ and Nick during the open finals was so intense and amazing. Most Hype seemed to be that golden spike though. He just stood there and it looked like everyone lost their minds for a minute.
What wasn't hype about all the matches! Nick backing up his brother with the win in the Open Division, Bonz landing tricks in freestyle no one has ever seen, and the yank spike heard around the world! The yank spike was probably the most hype. The 2 rounds leading up to the final yank off was intense. I think Alex and Andres got 3 in a row both rounds and ended up with 11 in a minute! Truly a memorable event. Thanks to everyone that came out and made it possible.
Bonz hit so many bangin' tricks during the freestyle... I mean thats what he usually does but it still doesn't make it any less mind blowing!
All the freestyle players blew my mind but there were a few times when Bonz stepped on stage the physics synced with his biorhythm and left everyone speechless. Hands down the Yank was the most hype. The first T on the trophy was so appropriate. CJ was on fire and an absolute Rock on stage. Liam from Pineapple put his name on the map this weekend knocking out some of the biggest names in Kendama on the way to a top 8 finish. The Gallagher's are robots and shouldn't be aloud to compete with us regular folk.
I think this year had the most difficult Open Division win. It seems like the past two years were skunk matches. CJ definitely gave Nick a run for his money, but we all know the Gallagher's don't show up to lose! Freestyle had some of the wildest rounds this year along with some of the craziest tricks! Bonz definitely deserved the win seeing as he's doing tricks that people simply don't do on stage. As far as the most hype event? That first try yank spike from the trophy is hard to beat. The crowd got sooo rowdy for a while too! You couldn't have asked for a better moment there. Way too hype!
Only one i have even heard of is the yank comp cos almost everyone or probably erryone in the kendama community has seen it. So hype
I wasn't there for the Yank heard around the World because my dad was sleeping in but I was there for Nick Gallaghers win! This was my second year of MKO and it was amazing, met so many great people and caught with a lot of dama homies!
