I don't own any Super Stick paint tamas from KendamaUSA, so I was wondering how tacky is it? Compared to something like a KenUSA silk, or even a Sweets cushion clear. I doubt it'll be on the same level, but I really enjoy the look of the #BRAYMOD and would love one for my collection! Of the people who have the pro mod, what are your opinions? I see these people landing triple lighthouse flips like its nothing! Cheers, have a great day!
Super tacky, super good for balance tricks. It is stickier than KUSA silk straight out the box but not as grippy as Sweets Cushion Clear. I would recommend purchasing one. The bamboo grips the super stick paint well and makes the nicest sound when you spike it
LOVE the paint on my braymod. So good. Slightly different than LOL (slaydawg) and the Prime sticky, but in the same ballpark. I really like it. For me lighthouses are perfect on it. They don't trip, but they hold with just the perfect slip/grip ratio (at least for me.)
How is the lunar balance? Campared to something like a Sweets Homegrown generation one (With cushion)?
In my (limited) experience lunar balance is always a luck of the draw because it often has to do with wood density and weight. It is the kaizen 2.0 shape, which is very good for lunars apparently. Most of the time. My particular braymod however is not very balanced for lunars. But I think I watched an unboxing where the dude's braymod was absolutely killer balanced. In in short, you don't know until you get it if it it good for lunars (unless its like a Rez...)
Question: How does the Super Sticky paint hold up on the BrayMod? I recently grabbed a tribute super sticky just to try out the kusa paint, and it chips like mad! It could just be the specific tama I have, but I've never had paint chip that easily and quickly. How's the paint holding up on the BrayMod?
Mine hasn't chipped. But I don't play super hard like some (aka no thunderous downspikes, instas, etc.) I believe (could be wrong) that the new sticky paint is different than the older tribute super sticky. If you check some instagram pics of people who have thrashed theirs, the paint looks to hold up quite well!
Thanks @Ben Lowe! I figured it might be different either because of the bamboo wood, or just an upgrade for a new model. KUSA just didn't specify if there was anything new about the paint, and I wanted to make sure it was different.
