Please ease down on the hammering, folks. Wait for the man to present his evidence, and as the way i see it, treat it as "innocent until proven guilty". As with any other lesser reputable sellers, exercise caution upon buying, be absolutely sure of who you buy from and what you buy is exactly what you get.
Okay, I completely understand that the first impression of myself and this KendamaCO sale would be negative and questionable. I personally can't imagine anyone would really mastermind to pose as a closed company that went out with so much negativity in order to scam people. It's just so far out. Payments are being processed through PayPal so there should be some sense of security. I am being honest and straight forward with The who, the what's, and where's of the situation aka all the questions I've been asked. Frankly, I do not need you all to believe me, but I do want you all to know this isn't a scam - so that if you're a fan or looking for an affordable stay machine, you won't miss out on final opportunity. The last sale was a shit show, and peoples orders were messed up. I've done what I can to make that up to a few individuals. I have a couple things to fix on the website thanks to @htimSxelA, in pointing out that there's not limit on order quantity. Other than that though my goal was simply to launch this final sale - and let people know that the CO is trying to make up for it's mistakes and that orders will be filled accurately and shipped timely, with customer service being most important. Now, with the issue of you two @htimSxelA and @Cheech_Sander and your assumptions, I just want to clear something up. At the time that I asked @htimSxelA if he lived in Colorado, I had not said anything about myself living in colorado. Therefore, @Cheech_Sander had no real means for claiming my IP address was from Chicago and hinting I maybe lying that I was in colorado. However, I am in Colorado and asked @htimSxelA if he was because I wanted to invite him to come see for himself I wasn't scamming anyone. You can continue to assume, jump to conclusions, or whatever it is you do though. But here's the proof i can show tonight. I have a lot of work to do - hope this helps!
@Chon phillips fair enough, good to see you have the damas. The co's end has been wild in many aspects, just wanted to ensure things were straight. Sorry for the overt suspicion.
@htimSxelA No need to apologize, I am happy to provide anything that will clear up suspicions. @amagad I appreciate your business, and have your order in line to be filled. You will receive updates on its status. Thanks! **Side Note** I have decided to extend promotion and until Midnight Eastern time tonight, orders $20 and over - with "DOWNSPIKE" written in checkout notes will still receive one of the few KenCO Girr Kendamas available. Thanks!!
@conngarranza Thanks! I got your order printed and in line to be filled. The Girr promotion is ending in a matter of moments, appreciate ya'll!
UPDATE: I have been investigating this a little further, and have received confirmation from Lex Uhlmann directly (one of the owners of KendamaCo) that he does not know @Chon phillips, and that the KendamaCo name is being used without the owner's permission. @amagad @Congarranza please be vigilant to ensure you receive what you paid for, and post in here with updates. This whole situation is very suspicious. @Chon phillips what do you have to say about it? From what I've seen, you've misrepresented yourself as a kendamaco employee, I think you owe everyone a deeper explanation of whats going on here.
I will keep you all updated. $26 bucks down the shoot? Maybe, but all hail paypal protection. I did the min of $20 purchase writing Downspike in the notes for a free girr and shipping. I'll give him until next week. PayPal wants at least 7 days for item to ship before I can open a "dispute". So @Chon phillips has a bit more time. @amagad and I might've been the only blokes that ordered.
Omg. I hope it really does work. I hate scammers more than anything. I think it's awful to take advantage of other people's money. It's very shameful, there's honest ways of earning momey too without ripping it from other hard working folks. @Chon phillips I sincerely hope you prove us all wrong. But on the positive side, thank you @htimSxelA, @Cheech_Sander and other DS moderators for being vigilant! Proof that DS is a great forum where people look out for one another. Everything about current Co is shady AF. So sad considering that they used to be an awesome and legit company. Definitely good to keep in mind that if you want any Co damas that they liquidated like crazy at the end and there's many people who have a crap load of KenCo damas. Put an ISO post up if you want one and wait for someone who has a history of being a legit dealer or community member to sell you one. I really hope you guys who did order get your Kendamas...
Funny thing is I started kendama right as they were going out of business. So, I never got to try one or really feel the impact they had on the community. I can tell KenCO was out of this world when I see them all over as sponsors in event videos and their previous PRO's are all now running their own companies. I felt like jumping the gun and going with this new avenue. I'll get my $26 dollars back from PayPal @Jenny Cho. If he is a scammer, he messed up by allowing PayPal.
