So what do you think the best kendama is for the price? Or what it the best deal you have ever gotten on a kendama? I am sort of on the fence on this one, I got that Sweets Prime maverick for $31 after shipping and it's almost as good as my $60 Slaydawg, but I also got a half split OG BLK for $10. A friend of mine said that the Slaydawg was still his best deal just because it is THAT good, but I wanted to hear what you guys think.
I went to a secondhand store and got a new bamboo tribby. For 4 bucks. Prolly the best deal I have gotten.
So many good damas out there now tbh. If it's a popular brand (KUSA, Sweets, Sol, Ozora, etc.) then the cheapest version of whatever they sell is still gonna be good. That being said, I think Primes, Kaizen 2.0s, and JKA damas are good for the price. Best deal I ever got was back when I had only been playing for about 6 months. This was back when GTs would resell for upwards of $100, hardwood or spec. Some dude on FKC let me cop one off him for $65 and threw in another jammer as well. I managed to get a 9/10 Gold HG x hick GT-1 (first batch) along with a Sweets marble x trib ken. First deal I made on FKC too
Yea it was kusa. I go back there every week and have yet to find another one. But I was stoked when I got it.
Just ordered a slate from PNW! I'll update what I thingk of it once it arrives. Made in the USA for $22 USD. **side note paired the order with a Kotodama. After finalizing the order, item is now sold out! "By the skin of my teeth!"**
PNW SLATES ARE ONLY $22... seems like a good deal to me!! Haven't tried one but seems SUPER COOL. There's lots of PNW hype still.
So many good kendamas out there right now. Just about everything "new" that is $30 and under is a great value in my opinion. From there it really comes down to paint preference, wood preference, company, shape, etc.
After having it pointed out in a fair number of threads, the Kendama Syndicate $10 Dama Store sure has a lot of what I consider good bang-for-the-buck kendama. If you're looking for a new gen, over-sized cups, sticky paint kendama then the new Sweets Prime Solids are hard to beat.
I say this a lot. I'm actually surprised those ken co GIRRs are still in stock. How long are we really going to be able to get Zens for real? @Ben Lowe , yeah I guess you are right, we both started playing at a time in which we both have access to great kendamas. People who start nowadays are a little spoiled hahaha
Please do post up some info on it! I'm honestly amazed that they have the slates made in the US, and retail for $22. Trump would be proud? lol
