@amagad You crack me up. 100g weight for testing the accuracy of your scales? I love it. Got to ask though, do you have a full set and are they titanium. In all seriousness though it's going to be hard to get reliable/consistent measurements across vendors who might not check their scales like you do. Their measurements are only relevant compared to other measurements they make with the same equipment using the same method (with/without string for example), if that makes any sense.
@amagad wood can also vary in weight depending on local climate. When somewhere humid, wood will pick up water and become heavier, and vive versa.
^i never thought about that but it is woods primary purpose, transporting water. Xylem and Phloem, never thought id use those words again

Just got an Ash select for Father's Day and really digging it. I asked KUSA for 70-75g and got 73g dead on give or take 0.3g! Tried a little first time pyrography on the tama too.
