Has anyone had any trouble getting through airport security with your kendama in the carry on bag? I've seen many pros vlogging at the airport terminals and in the airplanes, but not all of us look like a nice guy I'm curious about how you have talked your way through TSA or do you just whirly check when asked about your "sharp weapon"?
Ive never had them call it a sharp weapon.. probably cuz i have one around my neck/been jamming in the line hahaha
Nope it's all good, even in the US haha The only kendama I wouldn't bring is my kendalex massive Alu. It would prob be fine, but just in case... I would hate to have it confiscated or something dumb like that. Jumbo pills often get flagged for a quick bag-check at the X-ray, but once they see it's wood they don't even ask a second question.
I have had them search my bags for the Kendama but it has never been taken or questioned. Mostly I just end up showing them tricks and getting a high five. =)
Probably not a good place to try moon circles and space walks, bonk an official over the head, then explain, "Sorry! Really it's just a toy!"
On a semi-related note, I think the Musous on a Plane edits are some of the BEST! So much fun, watch them if you haven't already: https://www.youtube.com/user/KendamaUSA/search?query=musous+plane
Yes! That series is great!! **as a follow up, I got stopped and questioned about the water in my baby's bottle! Kendamas went through no problem.
went on 3 planes rides de other day had no problem at all with my kendamas. They didn't even ask a question or anything
I fly at least two flights a year (one long haul, one close by), and i've yet to have my kendamas confiscated, much less stopped by an officer.
I always wrap mine up whenever I fly anyways. That way the spike isn't shown, and I'd just rather them not ask questions and let me and my toys through aha
Disneyland security made me take my dama all the way back to our car once. When I got back to a different security line they noticed my key disguised pocket knife and when I admitted what it was they just let me through with it anyway. Lol
Mickey is more of yo-yo kinda mouse, but that Donald gets down on the dama! His styles is a cross between Copper Eddy and Dave Mateo.
