Hey peeps! I am from India and was attending a conference in Minneapolis. It would be stupid if I didn't go to Sweets Kendamas store. So there I was. I met Sweets, Cooper, Gabe and the whole team. Sweets was kind enough to show me around the whole facility. Both Sweets and Eddy showed me cool tricks and I was so excited. (And this was the first time I saw anyone play Kendama IRL, not many players in India). Gabe, their CEO was so awesome that he took us to a restaurant (Gyropolis, awesome place btw) in his car (I was using public transport to go around) and then chatted with us (oh yes, I was with a friend) about their company, possibility of Kendamas in India and many more things. Then he took us back to the store and we took a picture together and played a game of Spikeball. (That's my friend in the background) Then, Gabe drove us to Mall of America. On the way, he told us about the history of the company and his connection with kendama. I can never imagine CEO of any company talking directly to his customers, let alone drive them to restaurants and malls. He is an awesome person and so is the whole team. A big shout out to Sweets Kendamas!!!!! And coming to their product, I got the Prime Stripe Fiesta. The best kendama I've ever held. It is even stickier than the catchy air I have. Lighthouses are ez pz on this. Great balances for lunars too.
Yoooo the Sweets fam is one the most chill groups of people in kendama. Gabe and Matt, super easy to approach and talk to, no frills, no bullshit. Laying it down as it is. Got to hang out with the entire team, pre-KWC last year, and it's one of the best times i've had with them! I was the only non-Sweets crew (as seen in the photo), but they treated me like family.
