I don't, just because I don't really feel like doing it ever haha. I know that Miya from the Tribe team does cool dama tatts for people, and I'd honestly rather get mine drawn on from her rather than do it myself. She did hella cool strawberry tatts for people at Sakura and I like the way she drew em.
I haven't yet, I'm afraid I will mess it up! Plus I don't really have any great ideas on how to personalize anyway.
Totally get that! My "anarchy" on that TK-16 is my only one so far. I'm hoping to do a NOFX in the big cup of my Matt Sweets Pro Mod, but am still trying to figure out how to get it in there *right* w/o messing it up. (You don't get a "do over" with a Sharpie.)
A great way is to sketch your idea in pencil and then go over it with a felt tip or gel pen! That's what my friend did for these. We have a club at my school and when the first three people joined, we all chipped in and got them damas with their face on the big cup!
I feel like stickers are a great way to personalize the dama if you're too scared to draw on one. I have a klackshack sticker on my red F3 cushion clear and an MKO sticker on my Roots x HG. They bring back memories of my good times at MKO and NKR! I think it could be fun if more events made small stickers that can go on your dama that you used to jam or compete at the events! Good way to commemorate your experience. Dama events are always my most memorable dama times!
haha i like personalizing my jammers. mainly patterns and stuff i may buy some cheap natty kendamas and just sharpie them up
I won this KendamaUSA classic in a mini game at sakura classic and put a tama from @Cheech_Sander on it. Right from the second I got it, I knew that I would wood burn this, but I just did it right now! It's a Cedar Of Lebanon, which is part of my family heritage.
If anyone could recognize this, you are one withe the kin-army!!! or kin pack i don't remember XD that's the time i was still dancing & being a fan boy for a crew from cali that joined ABDC.
looks tight. I grew up in a place called Mount Lebanon and the main road was Cedar dr. There were no lebanese people there, strangely. A lot of Jewish people though.
I do the same before I take my wood burning tool to customize my setups. I have some of the Sunrise paint pens and use them as well, they're really good. Just a couple if the ones that I've done for myself so far.
This thread has made me want to start customizing now haha. Took some spare blank tamas out of my trunk last night to practice on
