DWI ken tsuna is my main jam, I have a 1st batch black leather, and a suede one that I've been rocking lately. The tamahawk holsters are really rad too, I have a couple that have lived on my backpack extensively. KNT holsters are rad too, I like how they hold the dama on tight... no flopping around on your hip!
I use a Sweets leather holster for my daily - I have been using the same holster for about a year or so and its held up really well! The only downside with the leather holsters is the cheaper clasp - hasn't been a terrible issue for me yet, but I can definitely tell it's wearing down and getting weaker. If I ever get a replacement, it'll be a tamahawk probably. They look cool and seem like they'd hold damas well. Other than that, I have many dama drawstring bags for my spares - I just toss the rest of my extras for an event into those and into my bag.
Here's another thread on holsters check out my caribiner post. That's how I carry on the daily. https://www.downspike.com/threads/kendama-holsters.465/#post-3528
I don't think I'd trust a toothpick to hold my fav dama longterm, but bravo on the creativity in that one! Very cool
Cost of the toothpick was probably a bit more budget friendly than the Mugen holster though I'd agree about trust. . .I'd probably splurge and upgrade the toothpick to a ten-penny nail.
So I was thinking about this for a while but finally dug the tennis ball out of the closet to give it a try. Coated the inside of the ball with rubber cement to keep it from deteriorating and keep the tama from slipping. Then used a cordlock to hold the paracord tight. Not much else to it.
@goenKendama always coming out with great innovations!!! Your the guy to take on a backpacking adventure with no cell service and still be able to purchase a REZ within minutes of a product release!!
Thanks, I'm blessed/cursed with a brain that never seems to sleep (also a packrat so have lots of parts). As for your REZ comment. . .
