I don't have a pic yet, but I know it's a next gen since the seal is silver. It is strung up on a pink proclear tama.
It's funny we were talking about mine and you got almost the same one a few days later. How's it play?
So far, the tama has been decently tacky, and the Ken has amazing lunar balance and is honed for every type of stall.
All of these Mystery Specs have been coming with these slick tamas. What I think Sweets did was sell all their blemished Specs tamas in that Homegrown Mystery tama $25 deal they had a while back and then just paired the kens with cheaper slick tamas so they could sell them for $40.
It is weird right, like it is a glossy finish but somehow has this slight tackiness to it that makes it adjust properly...if you are quick enough.
Yes in my opinion it's really perfect but I did just brake in my first natty and it was maple so this is perfect.
@jon wheeler that's a really nice surprise!! All these mysteries are making me want to pull the trigger and purchase one.
Get one...it will most likely be a glossy but not too icy solid tama on a Spec but is still worth it. Mine had no defects at all.
Pulled the trigger when the teachers pet discount was valid: OG HG with as described above (@lategreat808 & @jon wheeler) with a slight tackiness of a ProClear tama made of beechwood. 68.9g tama and 70.8g Ken. Slight chip under the seal where blue meets pink on the bottom rim. Tama has an almost vertical bevel it's super deep and steep!
