What's up, guys? I'd like to hear your opinion on these two kendamas. You know how it goes... Some major differences, playability, shape, paint durability and the variety of tricks that they're good for. All replies are much appreciated, 'cause they'll help me with my next go-to kendama purchase. Thanks to ya'll who will reply and keep on slaying!
Haven't played with either yet, but -Ajagak ken is Maple, POP ken is beech. -Same rubber paint on both tamas -Ajagak is worth about 2 POPs -Ajagak, at least from what i hear, is similar in shape to a slaydawg, POP ken shape is described as having a thin sword with the cups of a prime.
As i remembered correctly, the shape is similar to a slaydawg, but the ken is thinner. It's pretty much midway between slaydawg and pop.
Basically, they are pretty the same, Ajagak and Slaydawg. Both are made by Krom, there's a wooden ken and also a painted wooden tama. But I don't really see any similarity in shape to a Slaydawg, neither to POP. Different shape, that reminds me something between normal Krom shape, mixed with something from Grain Theory and REZ kendamas. Ajagak's sword is not as slim as a POP, but not as "tough" as a normal Krom ken. Sarado feels great, but I can't tell if it feels like any kendama. But maybe if I imagine how does the REZ feels, I'll shoot the REZ sarado. The basecup design is really enjoyable, especially if you like slimmer kens. It's my favourite shape right now, but that may be happening because the balance is perfect. The shape of Ajagak makes me feel confident about every juggle and insta(both lunar and lighthouse), but that might be just my preference! So here I am, favouring Ajagak over the POP, even though the POPs are absolutely amazing, they really feel a bit more playable than Slaypuppies, and are imho way better than Primes (well, maybe not when it comes to paint). Some poor light comparison photos I made quickly. Well, if you're feeling lucky, go with the Ajagak, cause this shape needs more attention. But you really should try the POP, you can't go wrong with them, best all around kendama in the game for sure.
