Just making this post to see if any other Aussies wanna have a Kendama sesh or if there is any other Aussie players around. I'm not the most active on social media but will reply to anything Kendama related. Would be good to get some real hands on experience with other's and to show what I have learned in my shy 8 months any tips or general chat from around the worl more than welcome, but desperately want to meet some aussie jammers!
No prob, Charlie's been playing a loong time, and I know there are other Aussies too, not sure of their usernames if they're on here though. Good to see more Aussie shredders out there!
Hey man. Yeah been slowly seeing a few more Aussie players popping up here and there. Unfortunatly very spread out though haha @cbwalsh24 was in adalaide but I'm not sure where he is at right now. Think he's been traveling.
Where are you in Australia? My buddy just moved to UNSW to study there (and play damas), he found a buddy who plays yoyos as well as damas as well!
This is Awesome! I'm in Adelaide myself guys but more than happy to travel. And slowly getting used to this app. My best mate @NuujDama and I jam as much as we can, and he's the one that got me into it and also put me onto DS! Haha yeah very spread out indeed and everyone I mention kendama to scratch their heads confused. But very happy to see there are aussie jammers!
Yup, I lived and jammed in Adelaide for around six months. Gave away quite a few damas. Hopefully those people are still learning with them. @htimSxelA knows what's up, @Churlthomp is definitely the dude to get with to jam dama and drink the best brews of coffee in aus land. He's a low key kendama OG with an epic collection and plethora of knowledge.
Where abouts in Adelaide were you @cbwalsh24 might be able to jam in the area and with some luck someone with one of your giveaways might see me haha. But Melb/Syd is only a 2 hour plane trip and that's where I'd suspect most players to be based in Australia, maybe even QLD. Pretty keen on a dama catch up/jam in the near future so when work dies down I'm heading interstate for a couple of visits
@Lansdama I mostly jammed around the Glenelg and Christies Beach area. Do yourself a favor and roadtrip the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne. One of the coolest solo trips I've ever done. Beautiful drive, awesome camp spots, sleepy beach towns, great surfspots, awesome skateparks, and great people to meet along the way. Make sure to stop in Portland, Port Campbell, Apollo Bay, and Lorne for a few days each. Epic jam spots to be found there.
