43 seconds on my keyaki Ozora! Stoked to get a sub 45 run on my first day practicing String Trick B! This is an awesome consistency challenge!
That's a really good point. I was mostly focusing on the tricks themselves. I found I was using a bit of time to think of what the next trick was. As I get more used to the sequence I think I will be able to hone those transitions
So it has to be insta lighthouse, insta bird to in, insta cup flow, and insta j stick in order for it to get such fast times.
Our son is planning on hosting a Speed Trick B tournament is the Sacramento area in January. He wanted to host an event that was a little different so he thought of this. Details coming soon. Should be fun!
So the new skill is to have a creeper left hand that hovers over the tama for resets. That should take a good minute off my current 3+minute marker. I had not seen clips and was resetting and taking breathes. Now it's basic lay it down in one breathe with maybe a second between ken grip to tama grip @azleonhart thanks for this challenge!!
@azleonhart you got the JKA resets going on. That was a super smooth run until the lightys! But you got it for sure.
I tried this for a day, then the kids get posted, and I haven't felt like going back to it. Maybe I'll dedicate mindless mondays for this. Great way to get my brain to turn gears!
Sorry about that, I was just blown away by their run. Remember though that what they did was not the "B" variation. I'll be happy to get close to Shimadera-san's run I posted on the first page; nice and clean and fast enough to pass that challenge for the JKA 5 Dan test (I can always dream right?)
