We've had the DS Community Edits (DSCE) twice now, and it has been such a resounding success, thanks to the amazing community we have here at DS. And so, it is with joy that we announce the third installation of the DSCE, set to debut in time for the Christmas season! Here's the timeline we're planning to achieve : 17 Oct - SUBMISSION LINK OPEN! 10 Dec, 0000 GMT - Close submission link, compile all submissions 11 Dec - Begin editing 17 Dec - I will do a short vid to choose the giveaway winner 23 Dec - Youtube upload and giveaway winner announcement If it’s possible, we want you to rep your city / county / state / country as hard as you can! Show us what truly makes your area unique, and include it as a backdrop in your video! So, get out of the comforts of your home, and get creative! Since @Ben Lowe and @Nick Lectura has offered to edit in the first two DSCEs, i will personally edit this time, so i hope to produce a good one! DSCE 3 Giveaway! We did mention that we're having a giveaway for this, and thanks to the amazing people that support DS, we're happy to announce that we are giving away a Slaydawg Pro Model (subject to change, but will be a Slaydawg nontheless)! We will list out who sent in videos this time, put these into the random.org generator, and hit “randomize” 3 times! The lucky name gets to walk away with our prize, just in time for Christmas!

@azleonhart YEWWW! Thanks for offering to edit this bad boy. and yes, anyone who submits a clip will be eligible for a 'dawg. That won't change. How we pick is up to DS community, but I was thinking we tally up how many seconds long the edit is, and use a random # generator and whatever second it generates whoever is playing wins.
I dunno, it kinda negates the whole “go out there and film something really nice” thing, ya know? Like, peeps are gonna be like “yea this is random, so not much point in me trying”
Yeah I think the idea with random second is bd because the longest video has the biggest chance of winning. I think that random video will be the best.
So hyped! The first two community edits were some of the most inspiring videos I watched right when I started playing. I've had it as a goal to get a clip in one of these since I saw them. We'll see if I can lace something good enough by December!
I understand your point but I feel like winning the giveaway should just be a fun bonus. People should try to film something nice because they want to be part of the community and contribute. I think random is the best way, but I might just put all the usernames in a (metaphorical or otherwise) hat and pull one. Doing it based on time in the video might encourage people to inflate the length of their clips for better chances, and they may not necessarily be better because they are longer. I would rather see a ton of really interesting scenery and creative tricks than a bunch of long and simple lines.
I don't really film much, but I want to be a part of these. So I'm gonna get something together for it. Thanks for putting in the editing work. On a side note, do you think a smart phone would have good enough quality to film with if nothing else if available?

I’ll pile the list of peeps who submitted, then just run it a few times through random.org! @Sirwillcode if your phone is capable of 1080, that’s more than enough though! @James Hoang just send in as much as you think you can! I’ll pick out probably no more than two. It all really depends on how many peeps submitted videos.
