I was so surprised, at the begining I just thought they were a bunch of kids who just tie broken strings instead of replacing one, but it wasn't the case ahah Triple late ken flip like nothing but where is the skill in it ? I mean the most difficult part in juggling/ late is space and don't tangle the string, shame
I hate when people try to sell their used damas for nearly the same price that it was when it was new. It gets so annoying when you see stuff like this: Like I’m not going to spend $80 for a beat up natty dama that you’ve been sweating all over and licking with your dirty tongue.
people posting 100000 pictures of their kendamas over a longer span of time but the ken always looks box fresh because the don't play only pose the guy who sent max this is a guy I know and he hardly plays but poses online as if he plays daily
To piggy back on this, why would people rather buy someone else’s beat in dama (that the OG owner may sometimes sell for near market price) instead of putting the work into a fresh natty? Damn lazy ass sumbitches. Exceptions aside, I prefer most of the wear and tear on a dama to be my own as a sort of history of what I’ve done to get to the skill level I’m at.
I agree!! You can see all the dents and be like that was from my first whatever trick or from you brother or cousin stuff like that. Besides all of that who wants to pay 50 or 60 bucks for a kendama that only costed 75 bucks brand new unless it was like something you were really wanting and couldn't find elsewhere @KeeganS
I hate how now the meta is huge cups and the stickiest Tama ever. Plus people who only do lighthouse our lunars.
It just irks me a bit when I see someone on FKC post “Looking for honed natties” Which loosely translates to “I want a natty that’ll stick lighthouses and lunars easily already but I dont want to pay for one that’s more than $20.”
The younger generation dissing OG players. Saw a youtube comment that said "Why does KUSA sponsor these guys? They're trash" or something along those lines. The comment was referring to either Jake Wiens or Alex Smith, but the point is the same. Respect your elders, friends. "If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants." -Sir Isaac Newton
I usually have kids who are dumbfounded that i can’t juggle multiples, and all the new gen stuff. But they still wind up being beaten by a stilt flip and bird over the valley.
I feel that kendama is all about expressing yourself and your style. They should be free to act how they want, I mean come on kids now a days get on the internet too early anyway and they learn about "bad" stuff way sooner than they used to.
I agree with all of the previous stuff about kids with no respect for OG tricks/players. Although I am a kid, I did my best learn the basics/OG stuff as fundamentals. I am nowhere close to multiple juggles, can hardly juggle to spike and have done like one tap airplane. So I feel like I am on the right track even though lots of new gen players would think otherwise.
