Hey Downspike community! I’m Tommy Harkins from Memphis, TN. I started jamming on kendamas early last Summer 2017. I hope to travel the world and bring kendama with me every step of the way. I’m psyched about showing people Kendama for the first time that have never experienced it before. It gives you a new perspective on what you think you’re capable of. You can get in this meditative zone where you lose self awareness, where you are one with the kendama. I’m on IG as @xplodit and you should check out my friend @shonuff_chris He got me into kendama. Also keep your eye on @AlexMitchellKendama That guy’s got some skills, and he’s only gonna get better. @SlayAllDay

Hello! My name is Rose Booth. I am married to @dbmagic . I live in West Virginia, and currently work as a Behavioral manager with a company that works with autism. I have been playing Kendama for 6 months. I love that my husband and I can share playing Kendama and the community around Kendama. You can follow me on Instagram @rosebooth79
Call me The Brain, or Brain. I grew up in northeast Pennsylvania. The dama scene isn't as voluptuous as I wish it was here, but I have still managed to progress enough to entertain friends and neighbors to this point. I'm hoping to expand my dama culture farther than what I currently know. I've never been to any events or contests, but I'm hoping to hit up the MKO or the KWC in coming years. When it comes to social type stuff, I'm very awkward, but I know the dama community is kind and will be behind me every step I take. I've only ever experienced positivity from this community, so I know when I do meet some of you in person, you will accept me as one of your own and show me the ropes. With true love to you all, The Brain
Magandang araw sa inyong lahat. I'm Jake and I lived in San Juan City, Philippines. I started playing kendama way back 2014 in the month of May. :3 My friend got me interested to pursue kendama when he brought his dama when we are playing badminton until the day I try to do moshikame and spike and I feel really hyped by doing those tricks that day. https://www.instagram.com/juuke.kun/ @Juuke.kun Go follow: @xyzskatedama @xpieguyx
Yup, it is a taglish which is very common from most of Filipino's say xD And do you know both in English? :3
Mabuhay from the Philippines! I'm Rylie and I'm here in Downspike because of @goenKendama. It's not entirely his fault but I'm glad to be here to know what the kendama community is like outside of Facebook & IG. I'm a mom and a human resources practitioner. I've been playing kendama for over a year and have shot a few videos for the Manila community. I hope to make more kendama videos and I aspire to land a lunar in the next few months.
Welcome! It's not my fault. . . really, Rylie. She's also got really cool camera rig. Maybe you could post about it over in this thread: Video/Camera Gear & Setups.
Hi all. My name is Andrew Lederer and I live just outside of Madison, WI. My 6year old son picked up Kendama this last summer from watching youtube. He began begging us to take him to MKO2017. So we packed up the family and made the trip (I was the one with the 9 month old twins). Had a great time and decided I would give kendama a go. I currently have 2 kendamas of my own. A KendamaUSA padauk/grape silk and I just received for my bday a kendmausa Spectra triple stripe (too slick for me to LH at this point). I was always into sports but not as much into skills toys. I am starting to record my progress in kendama on instagram and somewhat on youtube (my youtube is not kendama specific). Instagram: @dama.badgerdad Youtube: @Jugger18
Hi guys! My name is Frederik but everyone calls me Fred I live in Denmark which means I am a local slayer at the krom hq crew. Hello all! My name is Charles Spangler, but most people call me CJ! I recently moved from Philadelphia to San Diego and am definitely looking for local homies to jam with! I was introduced to Kendama about 5 months ago from my great friend Jake and haven't looked back since! My instagram isn't solely dedicated to kendama, but I do make kendama related posts every now and again! It's @charlesspanglerjr if anyone is interested! My buddy is @jakemeisle, he slays hard but doesn't post much either :-( Happy to be here and thanks for having me!
Yo CJ! I'm a San Diego dama player too! Dylan Westmoreland hosts mini comps every other week which are a definite place to check out! We also have larger competitions, but they may be a longer drive, but they are nice too. You will meet tons of new homies at the events and come back for more! keep slayin'
Here is some information on the first three jams that Dylan is hosting here! I have only gone to the first one so far, but supposedly the second one will be bigger with other Kendama USA members are going. (Kenyatta Williams, and possibly Teej Kolesnik!)
